Publisher's Summary

When Krista and Devin first started playing Glendaria Awakens, they had no idea that they would end up in charge of operating a dungeon. Now, after leveling up, they have a crisis on their hands.

A new item, a Dungeon Core, is now the target of every guild in the game. If the Core is stolen and kept away for a length of time, they will cease to exist. Devin must find enough powerful monsters to put into the dungeon while Krista has to build the perfect floor to keep them away from their only hope of surviving.

All of this and they have to try to co-exist with their new guardian.

Contains LitRPG elements such as stats, stat tables, and leveling.

Fun series!

Great story and narration!

Krista and Devin are back, and things are getting hairy! A new event is starting that will pit the entirety of the game world against their dungeon! Will they be able to survive?

Sarah again does a great job with the narration - really bringing the story and characters to life!

I enjoyed this one and can't wait for the next book to come out!

Way better than the first one

This is a sequel that more than lives up to the promise of the original. It had all the elements that I enjoyed in Dungeon Player, while upping the stakes in every way. There was also a huge improvement in the depth of character.

Very enjoyable

I loved the first book in the series and this book picks right up where it left off. The story is great and the Narrator does an excellent job.

Great book!

First off, I received a free code for an audible copy of this book.

Let's jump right in. While I admit that book 1 took a little time to fully draw me into the story, book 2 did not have that problem! This story held my attention from beginning to end. The level of "crunch" was turned way down and much more time was spent on story and character development. There are time skips back and forth throughout the book, but as long as you are paying attention to the start of each chapter, it's easy to keep up with. The character Violet and her, ummm, personality are very well written and a lot of fun. There was a ton of dungeon and trap building, and you can really tell the author put a lot of thought and time into the design. Two of the monster names almost killed me with laughter, and I won't ruin them for you here but you'll know when you come across them. I still have a couple of issues with the narration, but if I'm being honest that's probably just me being extremely picky and setting an almost unreachable goal for most voice actors.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this book and I can't wait to start the last book in the trilogy.

Great story, if a bit short

First off, I’ll let you know I received this audiobook for free for being a Patreon backer of the author.

This book was the authors second book and in my opinion, he really upped his writing on this one. There’s less clutter from tables and a lot more good story development and I just couldn’t put this one down. No it’s not a masterpiece with layers upon layers of depth so look elsewhere if that’s what you want. What it is is a great flowing and easy to follow story that is quite enjoyable if quite short. And that novella length is really the only downside to the story if you ask me. But there is a trilogy omnibus if you are looking for a more standard length book to read.

Fun Dungeon Core Book

I received a free review copy.

I enjoyed this audiobook. Krista and Devin continue to level up and improve the dungeon. One improvement, a boss, proves to be quite important in the story. However, a dungeon core appears in the dungeon. If players capture it and keep it for 45 days, the dungeon will reset and Krista and Devin will be deleted. Therefore, they work hard to expand it and players begin raiding in ernest.

There are some fun parts, some humor, and the romance further develops. I liked the traps and other features in the dungeon. Also, Devon goes outside the dungeon to lure creatures in, which is interesting. The narrator performed well.

Mostly enjoyable instalment in this series

This latest instalment in the series does a lot of things right, continuing the progression of the main characters and the challenges they have to face in an entertaining manner with some of the escalation in the overarching threat being particularly interesting and even some interesting little twists with potential adversaries, but the new dungeon guardian character just felt, at best, clumsy and out of place that it did detract from the positive elements of the book quite a bit.

The narration of this book was again as strong as the previous one, the author delivering a suitable range of voices for the characters that helped to bring them to life even more.

Overall, with one exception, this was a strong instalment to the series that makes me more eager to read the next book too.
