Publisher's summary

So, I’m Drunk.

Daniel T. Drunk, Jr. if you really wanna know. And I’m on a plane headed to Paradise Isle on the trip of a lifetime. The occasion? My honeymoon. Except, there’s only one problem.

I’m riding solo.

It’s a really long story, and if you don’t mind, I’d prefer to leave it at that. Really? You must know? Fine, I get it. You’re the nosey type. Here’s the abbreviated version. I came within an inch of marrying a cheating slut. There. Get the picture? Good.

But that’s not what this story is about. This story is about what happened after I got to Paradise and a dead body showed up in my motel room.

And, of course, the cops tried to blame it on me.

And then the actual murderer decided they wanted me dead too.

F--k.

The hits just kept on coming.

And to top it all off. This woman started following me around the island, and she couldn’t seem to keep her hands off me. But not in a good way.

So if you’re interested in a bit of Caribbean flavored action and adventure, with a hint of sexual tension, a dash of unapologetic profanity, and a kick-ass ending, then this is your audiobook.

If you’re looking for the next best piece of literature since - oh, hell, who am I kidding? I don’t know shit about good literature. But if that’s what you’re looking for, then keep moving, cause this ain’t that.

If, however, you’re like me and just looking for a good time, then I’m your fella. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.

Rated R for language, crude humor, and sexual innuendos. Rated A+ for entertainment value.

MIsadventures indeed!!

From the opening paragraph to the ending, this listen held my attention and my desire to know more. The misadventures were many and Drunk, his real name, was a great character.

Madcap would be a great way to describe the goings on in this listen. From the plane ride, to the island, to the numerous bodies, and even the CIA, Drunk was in the thick of things. Things went wrong, and then right, and then wrong again. The ending was glorious!!

Boucher's narration was pretty special. This mirth-filled listen needed a voice that could make it come to life and that's what he did. He delivered each line with such expertise that it felt like you were watching a gymnastic performance. It was pretty special

I'm looking forward to book two!

Better then snakes.

Books don't have to be great to be good. This was fun, quirky and touched my funny bone. Just what I needed to break the winter blues here in the northwest.

Love a Book with Humor

The narrator brought this book to life! Loved it!

Dan Drunk, a police officer, who is celebrating what should be his honeymoon, alone, in Paradise Isle. While in Paradise Isle, the guy that was sitting next to Drunk on the plane, ends up murdered in Drunks room, with Drunk's business card on his person. The local cops want to pin the murder on Drunk, who is trying to find out who the real murderer is. He ends up teaming up with Al, an elderly gentleman, who is trying to relive his glory days and have purpose since retiring and now a resident of the resort that Drunk was staying at.

Al and Drunk, make a great team, as each compliments the other.

The narration was absolutely fantastic and made the book feel as if it was not just "read". Anyone can read a book, but the acting and attitude that the narrator brought to this book made it most enjoyable.

I am hoping to also have the honor of listening to Book 2 of the Drunk Adventures.

entertaining get away

the Titel and the Text about the book say it already: don't expect too much from this Story. it's pretty straight forward, the characters as well. but it entertains well in a beautiful Setting. my Highlight ist the Speaker, who manages all these different voices in such an incredible Way. i will definitively go and look what other books he performed in.

Over inflated white guy ego douche

Don’t waste your time. If you want ‘Funny stories about how I get drunk and hook up with girls’ read Tucker Max’s first very funny book.

This is about how a self-absorbed guy, who has a massive ego about how good-looking he is, goes to a resort which is like every other in the world, and drinks alcohol and semi-successfully hits on girls.

The stories are boring, not much happens, and he sounds like the kind of douche you avoid at parties and girls think is super creepy.

I started skipping pages, then chapters, then got a refund. Don’t bother buying this guys book, you’ll only encourage him.

Terrible story, terrible writing

Hard to believe anyone could possibly like this. I’ve tried pushing myself to listen to 15 chapters but I can’t go on. Total crap

the story was very contrived, the characters very tiresome and I knew what was going to happen 1/3 of the way through the story

A fun listen

I loved this audiobook. Whilst there was an intriguing mystery going on, the characters were funny and likable. Yes, Drunk is a womanising slob, but I just couldn't help liking him. His relationship with the old folks at the hotel is kind and warm and he genuinely cares about them. He has been hurt by his fiance and he is rebelling and blowing off some steam.
This is not a book for the WOKE generation, but to be honest, if it was, I wouldn't want to read it.
The narrator is brilliant - great comedic timing and I loved the 'voices' he assigned to the various characters. I couldn't wait to download the next book in this series.

Listener received this title free

perverted whining sissy wannabe cop

the poor narrator gave an amazing performance with the adolescent story he got. Drunk is your mid 30's pervert , every female he sees is hot .Whining like a spoiled brat if anything doesn't go his way , the mystery wasn't that bad but it didn't help that Drunk is just dumb ,keeps stumbling on to every clue and his hot trained side chick gets no luck.
it was hard to get through the 1st half, have to give credit to the narrator for giving me hope that it would get better, the f-bombs about the only word in this clowns vocabulary , pretty petty to try an boost a crappy 1st half by using profanity.

Old school.

If you liked Magnum P.I. in the 80s, you are going to love this book. Good old fashioned 80s action. No drawn out story, no spend 1/2 the book getting to know the characters, just a good, likeable story. The narrator was brilliant. All his voices put a picture of the person straight in your head. He puts a voice to a character so well. This gets a tick on every level. Cant wait listen to the next ones in the series.
