Not as good the 2nd time around

I read this book when it first came out back in the 1980's. It was amazing. This listen of it was disappointing. I will say that the narrator had a huge impact on that. The trouble is, there really isn't anything wrong with him other then a monotone read which wants to put you to sleep. If you listen to a lot of books each year, you will probably not like him. If you rarely listen to audiobooks, you won't have an issue with him.

Needed a professional Narrator.

I read this book when it came out and loved it. Though the movie was dated I enjoyed Christopher Walken in the lead. Unfortunately this authors reading was very flat and put me to sleep.

Compelling but simultaneously garbage

I could do without the dramatized telling of the story. The guy talks more about how he doesn’t do drugs and drinks wine more a bunch and try’s to prove his credibility rather than telling the story.

Real Aliens!

Mystic of our time gets selected by aliens for experiments. His wife might be an alien sleeper agent.

The story was well told also very complete

The story was very interesting about things Beyond our comprehension each chapter became more of understanding why did you do they happen in certain situations. Sincerely Robert Shorey
