DRAXTON:

Have you ever looked for something you know is there but can’t find it?

I was born to explore caves, and when it comes to finding the door to another reality, I become a tire-screeching, hyper-focused maniac.

When I use my charm, I know, no one can refuse me, especially when I'm wearing my sexy jean shorts and wide-brimmed hat, even if I pair them with flip-flops.

I will do anything to secure an extension to explore the Star Caves, nestled in the Cradle of Mankind, South Africa. With my grandfather's map in hand, I set out to barter for more time.

The plan was simple. Entice, seduce, and bribe the man responsible for my future. He accepted the bribe, my priceless map, but as soon as he started showing up at the site, he refused my body, three times!

Recommended pre-listen: New Beginnings Trilogy.

WARNING: Themes of rescue missions, human oppression, invasion, slavery, include war, hand-to-hand combat, violence, savagery, in an alternate history. Graphic language and gay sexual activities are portrayed. One of the main characters has a high-functioning level-one autism diagnosis, suffering from mild hyperacusis (sound sensitivity). Listeners sensitive to these elements should take note and prepare to escape reality and face the storm.

Draxton's book sucks you in right from the first page. Draxton is trying to find a mysterious doorway to another reaIm inside an ancient cave system. But he is running out if time. He seeks an extension from a sexy professor, Kellan, at the local university. However Kellan has some secrets regarding that very doorway. We didn't have to wait long before they find and fall through the doorway together. But they didn't fall alone. From here we get an exciting tale of an ongoing war with a familiar enemy. I was curious how this story would intersect with the original Men of Phoenix trilogy (my brain is blanking on the actual name, lol), and I was not disappointed. The two worlds came together in a unique way. This book has everything you could want: mystery, adventure, family, and of course incredible sexy times. And there is more to come in part two. Jonathan Waters did an amazing job bringing this book to life. I liked the different accents he did for each of the main characters.

Amazing!

Let me start off by saying I jumped into this before realizing it's part of a much larger experience, and I will be going back and reading previous books per the author's suggested reading order as follows: Phoenix Code, Eryn King of the Brawl, Cian's Song, Just Like a Butterfly, Anzulla According to Ish, Vampires Don't Drink Whisky, Draxton, Kellan.

I really enjoyed this engaging and entertaining story. Jonathan Waters' narration took it to the next level, which resulted in a more immersive experience of the world the author created. Definitely looking forward to catching up with events leading up to this book!

This is another wild ride from Kashel Char!!!

Oh Kashel, Kashel, Kashel, you did it again. After listening to this book I now want to go back to the beginning, where it all started, and listen to everything again. This is why I can't read Kashel's books. I don't have the brain power to bring them to life inside my head, instead I like to listen to them and get sucked in and fully immersed. I want to sit back in my comfy chair, close my eyes, and let the author take me away from everything. Johnathan Winter's narration and interpretation of the characters voices is amazing.

This whole world has been diligently created and someone's gone and put it in a blender, mixed it up, then threw out bits and pieces everywhere. Thank heavens it's not up to me to put it back together that's the author's job. I can't wait to see what's cookin in Kashel's brain and how the bits and pieces will all fit together.

As stated previously, in one of my other reviews of Kashel's audiobooks, thank you Kashel Char for the hours of enjoyable entertainment, you are truly one of a kind.

Next up Kellan, I can't wait to see what happens next!!!

Draxton: Children of Anzulla, Part One of Book One. Finding Love in the World of Titans. M/M Sci-Fi Fantasy by Kashel Char gets five stars. If I could give more, I would. The narrator, Jonathan Waters, was amazing. I was sucked into the story and spat out, eager to start part two tonight. I was working today, wearing a smile the whole time. This audiobook flew by so fast, and like always, I wish it was longer. I want to climb into this world and never come home again. I'm a real book nerd, I know. I will give Ouroborus all my seedlings / deposits to expand his gene pool for free. Heck, I might pay them, lol.

Yeah! I waited a year for this!
