Publisher's summary

The last of her kind. Four hot alpha mates. A legacy of bloodshed.

When Ren Landis goes looking for excitement on her 21st birthday, getting kidnapped is a little more than she bargained for. So is finding out that shifters exist - and that she's one too. As the last of the dragon shifters, she's got a role to fulfill: Take the alphas of the four shifter groups as her mates and unite all shifter kind. No pressure, right?

Too bad Ren's fate isn't as simple as getting it on with four scorching-hot guys. Someone is out for dragon shifter blood, intent on finishing the massacre they started years ago. If Ren can't figure out how to kickstart her buried powers, her life's about to go down in flames.

Contains mature themes.

Cliffhanger!

I enjoyed this audiobook very much. It’s not my usual fare, as I rarely read shifter books but this story kind of grabs your attention right away and keeps it. The heroine is a girl who I kidnapped at a bar while waiting for her best friend to come help celebrate her 21st birthday. When she wakes up in a big fancy house, a gorgeous guy is there. Her best friend soon shows up, having tracked her there. When the heroine finds out that she’s a dragon shifter and her mother hid her memories from her about it, she begins to slowly remember the mother who left her when she was younger and never came back. Then three more handsome men show up and she finds out they are all the Alphas of other shifter clans and she’s their destined bride. They set off to solve the mystery of what happened to her mother and memories continue to return. This audiobook ends on a cliffhanger, which annoys me a bit, so I hope the next series will be released soon. Narration was excellent.

Maybe with a different female narrator

I just couldn’t finish this book. The female narrator ruined it for me. I found myself losing the plot and focusing on her nasally voice.

Da Vinci code meet shifter RH!

This book has a Da Vinci code feel to it. Finding clues and figuring out symbols. Really cool start to a series. Can’t wait to start the next book!

Good Story bad accent

I like the story but will most likely buy the rest of the books instead of listening to them. The book is about dragons but with the midwestern? accent of the narrator repeatedly pronouncing it dray-gons it is hard to hear. If you can get past that good for you but I just couldn’t.

Not enough...

Reverse harem? Meh...maybe in the next but for me its basic. The plot sounds good and is...until she meets the guys. From that point on she just kind of fades away and becomes uninteresting. You think oh maybe this fight will start something but no they just move on. The big problem is she just trusts them.. if some hot dudes said I was a shifter. I would not just believe them to find my mom. Lol and her friend is just like bye! Have a nice life.... it's just a bit too fast with too much filter plot.

Nice Story

I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. This is a reverse harem story with one woman and four alpha males. The plot twists kept me listening and the narrator made the story come alive. Loved the fight scene with the vampires and the best friend was truly a best friend even after watching the men turn into their other animal selves. The wolf shifter had a negative attitude but when it came to defending the last dragon shifter he always stood up to the task.Loved the story.

The accents 🙈

I have no idea if this story is interesting because of the obnoxious accents the narrator used. Everything is so exaggerated. Like a kid who just found out that not everyone sounds the same and tries mimicking others and fails

Could not finish listening

Not sure why, but the narrator made the heroine sound so whiny and pathetic that I could not finish the story. Even the sex scene was whiny. Had to skip through it. The story itself might be ok?

Good start...hated the cliffhanger

I felt this was a pretty good series. My main complaint is the narrator(s) performance. When playing multiple characters you have to adjust the voices. When I see two narrators opposite sex I assume they are going to take turns with character male handling male voice etc. I enjoyed the story but the narrators lost me some. I will continue to book 2 to try again.

DEFINITELY RE-READ MATERIAL

This is not the first time I have read this and it definitely won't be the last. I usually have this problem with books where I have trouble rereading them, but some books you can find and so much happens in them, and it's such a great story that I find it still just as enjoyable as the first time I read (or listened to) the book. This book does end on a cliffhanger, however, it is one of those endings where it gives you more of a choice if you want to read the next book or not. I listened to this as an audiobook and absolutely loved the narration. This has multiple perspectives (the female protagonist and the four male protagonists), having a male and female narrator depending on whose perspective it is. If you have read the blurb and think you will like this I would definitely recommend it. This is definitely one of my many favourites.

Amazing!

Where has this series been all my life!? I can't believe it took me so long to start reading the first book. Well listening to it. Absolutely amazing. So intriguing and I can't wait to see what happens for Ren and her mates in the future. There are so many sad parts in her past but she has made sure they don't define her. I love that they are introduced as Happy, Doc, Dopey and Grumpy. All the information about her past and the history of the Kin groups is given in small amounts so I never felt overwhelmed. I have already started book 2 and am still so hooked!
