Publisher's summary

The battle for Ragond has begun.

Sixteen-year-old Nova Harris didn’t expect danger when she was whisked away to a magical realm. All she wanted was to find her mother, but instead she discovered a whole new world - one that’s at war. With an uptick in the mysterious interdimensional portals, Ragond needs every dragon and rider to protect it from the Mythoi who continue to come through and attack. And as the intensity of the fight grows, Nova’s mental reserves are further exhausted from the strain of masking her best friend’s illegal dragon bond.

A bond that, if discovered, will mean Zephyr’s death.

After repeatedly bending the rules, the Council removes Nova from the battlefield and forces her to study Ragond’s history in the Great Library. But the magical books there will only open for those who possess the ability to understand their contents - and when Zephyr visits, they’re shocked to discover she can open every one she touches. But the more they read, the more questions they have…until they’re faced with a truth that threatens to overturn everything the people have been told about the war’s origins.

When an open portal gives Nova a chance to see for herself the horrors that have befallen Mythos and its inhabitants, she, Zephyr, and their dragons embark on a quest to find the truth about Ragond’s past.

It will be a quest that can expose the Council’s duplicity and end the war - or doom them all.

Queen of the Dragons’ Ava Richardson invites you to immerse yourself in a dragon-filled world with epic magic, fearless heroes, and, at its heart, the deep bond between dragon and rider.

Great

I really enjoyed listening to Dragon rebellion. I have consistently liked this authors creative and unique take on fantasy dragon tales. Each one is different but well written. My favorite part of this book was the mental image I got of all of the settings.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great continuation...can't wait for the next book

This story is an interesting fantasy with just a sprinkling of science fiction, and it works very well. The story is well crafted, with enough twists and turns that by the end you are not quite sure who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. There are some very creative ways of filling in backstory, and everything seems like it goes where it needs to go. I love the dragons, I love the magic, and I love the characters. And the narration is top notch. I love the voices that Nemethy comes up with for the characters. My only problem was having corps pronounced like corpse...THAT drove me nuts. Luckily, it did not happen often.

Now if I can just wait for the next one...

Nova, Zephry, and Linked Dragons

There are secrets within the Council of Five that do not want to be found out. Zephyr accidentally links with Rue and that is against the law punishable by death if found out. Nova and Zephyr go to great lengths to hide this secret but this bond between the witch and dragon rider gives Zephyr powers she did not before. This power gives Zephyr access to books that just a witch cannot open and shares a history that is not being taught or shared. This history is a contradiction of what is being taught and the Mithois are not shown to be monsters. The Mithois were shown to be equals that just look different. This book keeps you involved from beginning to end.

Still my favs!

Ava continues to not disappoint! Having never gotten “into” Dragon themed books I didn’t know what I was getting into when I listened to Rebekah’s performance on the Alvaria’s Dragon Academy audiobook. I love Ava’s stories. Rebekah has be one one of my absolute favorite narrators. Her multiple characters are believable and very fun to listen to. Can’t wait to continue this series!
