Review for dragon assassin volume one

I have listened to quite a few of Arthur Slades’s audiobooks on audible. He has quite the range of books for a variety of listener styles. His books are for young adults but as an adult I enjoy them. The reader did such a wonderful job with her voice, she really fit the character I thought! A good story line which held my interest. At the end I’m ready to listen to volume two now! What’s next for our dragon assassin? By the way I always love the endings in his books. I had no idea how this one was going to wrap up but I liked it!

Let There Be Dragons!

I truly enjoyed these books, especially the scenes involving the dragon, Brax. Bring on more, please! I'm looking forward to the next episodes in this series. Clare Corbett does a fine job with the narration as her voice is clear and easy to understand. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

A Assassin's story!

I listen to this on Audible, Fraternal Twins, 2 people who are in skill levels very competitive yet So very different when it comes to interaction with people. This story mainly follows the girl twin and her various interactions at the assassin school and Adventures. Good Narrator did a nice job on voices and storyline. I can not wait to start the next Audible book.

I really enjoyed this book

The characters and story are all i look for in a good story. However I have a rule about not using credits on books that are less than 10hrs. Unless you plan to combine more of them this will be my last in the series.

Progressively disappointing

At the beginning it was really engaging for me despite the weirdly short chapter lengths/formatting. But as the plot moved on I became increasingly frustrated by the fact that my non seasoned assassin brain was out witting her in common sense among other things. I felt no emotion toward her or any other characters in the story. I especially felt confused on how the author didn’t give more depth to the most powerful assassin and instead decided to kill him off right after they met him. I finally gave up and lost interest with 2hrs remaining. I’d find another book if I were you like “Fortune Favors the Cruel” this one will leave you on your toes.

Couldn't stop listening

Ever sine I was a girl I always enjoyed magic fantasy stories. Dragons are the ultimate. The story is so captivating and the narrator did a fantastic job. Each character was distinctive. I fell in love with the characters. It had the right mount of mystery, and I love the development of the characters. I'm looking forward to the next one.

No

So, the best student in the school....is horrible at all things....maybe the school needed to be burned down.

There is way too many convenient events and inter-actions....poor plot planning.

In general the writing is ok, but the plot really needed to be scrubbed again.
