Coco Turner loves her brother Quilo dearly. In fact, she's willing to do anything for him. This includes dropping everything and uprooting their lives for what she hopes is the better. She never imagined the love she had for her brother would push her to do the craziest thing she's ever done in her life. Marrying a complete stranger for the sake of safety seemed irrational and flat-out foolish. However, Coco acts first and asks questions later. All to protect her brother.

Adir lays eyes on Coco and immediately deems her "Pretty." Not only is the street doctor changing last names, but he is also changing situations. He is after Coco's heart and is determined to prove to her that, in his hands, she and Quilo are secure.

All change isn't welcomed, though. Outside forces are willing to do anything to bring Adir to his knees. The only issue is that Dr. Bell has never bowed to anyone. Well... no one except Pretty Bell.

Second time a charm!

I read the book but listening was so much better the narrators were a great pick they did an amazing job. I’ve started on the second book but stopped now I’m gonna start back reading since I know it won’t be on audible no time soon and I can’t wait to listen!

I loved everything about this story. I love a story when the man falls hard and first and that was Dr. Bell. He loved his family and he was a good man. Pretty was all he needed.

romantic mystery

Well written, Ms. Monique and well performed. So many twists and turns the made literary sense. I love the way that Adir loved his Pretty, it was written with him being so intentional and deliberate... so good and the connection between Adir and Pretty was so deep well more than sexual or sensual it was spiritual intimacy...what Id like to have happened was for a deeper development of that soul tie from somewhere in the past to have been revealed...however the story was fantastic chef's 💋

This was filled with love!

I loved how much love and loyalty was packed into this story! It was refreshing to read a healthy love for family! 💜

If M. Monique write I get it..

Reading it last year and I loved this story...But to able to listen to it...babyyyyyy Midnite Michael is that guy he brings so much life to the story....🫠🫠...Zair Jordan voice give educated with the touch of hood all at the same time.🤣🤣..M. Monique's MMC will clear a family tree out about they "my baby" hopping state to state in 72 hours...and I love very minute of it!! Unhinged to the fullest!!!!🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️
