Publisher's summary

On behalf of USA Today best-selling author Gretchen Archer, welcome aboard flight Double Up. Fasten your seat belts for non-stop action as stiff competition blows into town and the resulting turbulence threatens to take down the Bellissimo Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Super Secret Spy Davis Way Cole, who lives on the 29th floor of the hotel with her CEO husband and newborn twins, takes it hard. If the casino goes belly up, she won't be a stay-at-home mom because she won't have a home. Not to mention, her husband won't have a job.

Davis can't find a way to stop the inevitable end of the Bellissimo life she loves until her ex-mother-in-law shows up, unexpected and definitely uninvited. Davis makes the best of a bad Bea Crawford situation and recruits her for a little corporate espionage work, which would've been great, had Bea not turned out to be the world's worst spy. Ever. Seatbacks and tray tables in their upright positions as we prepare for a bumpy ride with babies, bankruptcies, besties, and shrimp. (Shrimp?) Enjoy your flight.

Absolutely Hilarious

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, this is by far the funniest of all of the Davis Way Crime Capers.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bea Crawford!

Would you be willing to try another one of Amber Benson’s performances?

No

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Biloxi Blitz goes Boom

Any additional comments?

The book was awesome. The narration is bad! At times I was confused on which character dialogue. The first narrator was the best.

Not as good as the earlier books in the series

Not as good as the earlier books in the series, but still enjoyable. If you're a fan of the series I recommend this book

new narrator please!!!

I intensely dislike the narrator I don't like her delivery, her Cadence, her voices are similar and they don't match the characters. Also, her voice is extremely irritating. I really like the books but might have to go to reading because it's hard to listen to the narrator.

Cute story, hate the narration.

I really don't like the narration in this series. The twenty-something lead character sounds like she is fifty-something. The male characters are poorly done and southern accents are used to indicate a character is stupid. The narrator really ruins it for me.

Hilarious, suspenseful, love the characters!

This series is one of my new favorites! I can’t stop listening! The narrator is golden; perfect timing, voices and accents you can remember and skillful performance. And the story….! I don’t know where to start. It’s detailed and you still can’t figure out the end. It moves fast and is too much fun
Great great job G!!! 5 stars!

Not cozy at all

Too far fetched and whiny. Think Davis Way would have grown more than this in the 6th book of this series. Will not be listening to any more as they have just gone off the rail.

Each story is more engaging than the last

I love how easy it is to commiserate with Davis’s crazy escapades. The stories are well performed

Too gross and depressing, couldn't finish

The narrator isn't bad, but I think the monotony of his voice made the whole book sound drearier. Avoid this book if you, like me, don't want to hear the gory (pervy) details of what goes on in a """"spa"""" just short of a brothel.

Grow a spine for goodness sakes

I guess the formula for cozy mysteries is that the heroines suffer silently while being imposed upon by bombastic friends and families; hides important facts from their spouses and law enforcement till their relationship wanders or they’re in mortal dangers. That’s what I’ve learned from the last 5 stories and this seem to be the worst offender.

Is there any reason why Davis can’t separate herself from these folks and move on to a healthy relationship with Bradley, her children and her own family? Get over the teen aged emotional damage and move on. The last book was compelling, I stayed up all night listening to it, but this one seem to be unbearable tacky.
