Publisher's Summary

On behalf of USA Today best-selling author Gretchen Archer, welcome aboard flight Double Up. Fasten your seat belts for non-stop action as stiff competition blows into town and the resulting turbulence threatens to take down the Bellissimo Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Super Secret Spy Davis Way Cole, who lives on the 29th floor of the hotel with her CEO husband and newborn twins, takes it hard. If the casino goes belly up, she won't be a stay-at-home mom because she won't have a home. Not to mention, her husband won't have a job.

Davis can't find a way to stop the inevitable end of the Bellissimo life she loves until her ex-mother-in-law shows up, unexpected and definitely uninvited. Davis makes the best of a bad Bea Crawford situation and recruits her for a little corporate espionage work, which would've been great, had Bea not turned out to be the world's worst spy. Ever. Seatbacks and tray tables in their upright positions as we prepare for a bumpy ride with babies, bankruptcies, besties, and shrimp. (Shrimp?) Enjoy your flight.

Absolutely Hilarious

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, this is by far the funniest of all of the Davis Way Crime Capers.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bea Crawford!

Would you be willing to try another one of Amber Benson’s performances?

No

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Biloxi Blitz goes Boom

Any additional comments?

The book was awesome. The narration is bad! At times I was confused on which character dialogue. The first narrator was the best.

The best yet

Double Up takes listeners on a wild rollercoaster ride of intrigue, desperation, dumpster-diving, spying... and Bea, Davis's ex ex mother in law, who was a hoot and a half. She became a (semi) real person, actually likeable.
As always, Amber Benson is the wonderfully fantastic voice of Davis, the voice of everything Bellisimo.
Gretchen Archer, keep ' em coming. We're here, waiting for the next book.
...still waiting...

So Much Fun!

This is a continuation of the wacky Davis Way series. Simply love the laugh out loud situation and antics, very reminiscent of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum. Everyone needs an escape like this!

Slow Build-Up

Great characters but storyline was really slow for the first half, but then the pieces started yo come together and the pace picked-up. The ending was satisfactory and I look forward to the next one.

Great addition to the series

Amber Beason is pretty for this series. Her voice adds to the story telling and brings it alive during long drives. Gretchen provides a great read, characters and plot. I wait impatiently for each new book and haven't been let down yet.

If you enjoy a mystery with humor, I recommend the Davis Way crime series.

Davis Could Be My Bestie

This is just a great series. Well written and smoothly performed by a Buffy alum, Amber Benson. Gretchen Archer is a super funny writer to me and from her writing she seems like a hoot-- at least her protagonist is! Trouble always follows Davis Way, and this story is no exception. I feel like this one had more suspense then previous books and I loved it. Davis has babies now and I was afraid this would make for a boring story, but I was happy to be wrong. The author does not linger on the babies, but incorporates them hilariously into the narrative. I don't want to give too much away, but if you are a fan, this book is great-- if you haven't read this series yet, start from #1, it's worth 'doubling down' on!
