Publisher's summary

The newest math-focused audiobook from the New York Times best-selling author Danica McKellar is full of puppy-fueled chaos and a message of gratitude, with a double helping of fun!

Moxie Jo always wanted more. But soon she'd get more than she bargained for!

Spunky and energetic, Moxie is just like any other girl—aside from the fact that she has to have the most of everything! If she doesn't have the most toys, the most A's on tests, or the most time on the swing, then she makes the most noise! So when Moxie finds a magic stick that can double anything, she doesn't hesitate to use it—but when the button gets stuck, she may start to realize that less really is more! Teach the power of doubling through this playful puppy romp!

Critic reviews

“Cleverly teaching how numbers double as puppies multiply all over the page, McKellar might trick your little one into learning some math principles as they giggle along with this story of doggies run amok.”—Entertainment Weekly

... more isn't always better...

This isn't just a math book, isn't just a book about the hazzards of wanting more... and isn't just a book about a brother and sister learning to work together -- it manages, in entertaining rhyme, to be all three at once, all while being fun, entertaining, and staying realistic... after all, Moxie is still a believable kid at the end of the story, just one who has learned most of a lesson.

I listened to the audiobook/audible version -- initially I checked it out from my library, and had a blast with this, Danica McKellar doesn't simply read her book, she performs it. Imagine Danice McKellar performing her book / reading it for your kid/kids at your local library, and you've got an idea of how entertaining this unabridged audiobook is.

This is a story about doubling numbers... a way to help kids understand just how quickly things can "add up" and you can go from one to a seemingly astronomical numbers/amounts.
