Wonderful Story

When I started this series, I always wanted to know if Mia got her HEA, and I am so glad she did. She deserves it the most!

This is Henry and Mia's story. You get an age gap, opposites attract, their history is intertwined, and an overprotective man!

I swooned over Henry and the way he always looked out for Mia. He is a billionaire and could have anyone, but no one will be as genuine as Mia.
This book made me fall in love with both characters and all the past characters all over again. I felt all the emotions when reading this story.

The audio of this is phenomenal! I listened and enjoyed every minute. This is one you will want to add to your TBR. But I recommend listening to the previous books before to get the entire story.

Wow. What a book!!! I don’t even have words. I’m going to miss these characters so much. They’re fantastic and have grown so much since we met them in book one. Kelsie Rae is an incredible author!

But when jealousy sparks in unexpected places, the frosty façade begins to melt, leaving room for banter, tension, and a partnership neither can quite deny. From frosty stares to frenemies-with-benefits, it appears the Lion’s den is hiding more heat than ice.

As for my thoughts: I thoroughly enjoyed this one, especially in audio format. Maeve York and Gregory Salinas did a fantastic job narrating. They kept me hooked and captivated from beginning to end (no wandering mind here!). Henry and Mia’s dynamic is complicated, but Kelsie Rae wove that complexity seamlessly into the story without it feeling forced. Both characters experience meaningful growth and Henry makes for a swoon-worthy book boyfriend: patient, steady, grumpy (just enough to be delicious), and sure of what he wants.

Though this is book five in the series, it works perfectly as a standalone. I picked it up out of order and never once felt lost, though now I’ll certainly be going back for the rest. Sports romance lovers will find this one more “sports-adjacent” (Henry’s the owner, not a player), but the energy, banter, and stakes are very much in line with the genre. If you’re after character growth, complicated backstories, and a grumpy MMC you’ll want to claim for yourself, this one is worth the read.

Okay I loved everything but the 2 sex scenes 😂 The “Milk my cock” was my very first ick!
