Story
Now Lee is free from the malevolent ghost of Morris Hawke, his clairvoyant gifts are expanding fast. Too fast for comfort, and he and Gideon find themselves wrestling with his unsettling capacity to see the future. In some ways this new power is wonderful, and Lee finds himself a local hero after predicting a flood. But there's one aspect he can't bear, and that's the blind spot he sees when he thinks about the wedding plans he and Gideon have started to make. It's as if this event, which he wants more than life, simply isn't going to happen.

Perfect narrator for one of my favorite books!
- By Jesi Lea Ryan on 08-17-14
Publisher's Summary
What's haunting Lee Tyack? He's moved in with Gideon Frayne, and they're both loving their new lives. But the shadow is still there - a voice from hell that torments clairvoyant Lee, and which even the pragmatic copper Gideon can hear.
Gideon's determined to protect his lover. But after a serious injury on duty, Gideon finds out the hard way that he needs protection too. His job's on the line and he's scared. Worst of all, he thinks he knows who that voice belongs to - and he can't stop Lee from heading off to confront this most terrifying ghost from his past.
When the full spring moon rises over Cornwall's rugged coast, and the veil between the worlds grows thin, Tyack and Frayne must join forces to solve a decades-old mystery that still has the power to tear their world apart.

Way to many "Lube" scenes.
The story line was great and the narrator was great, but the male on male sex scenes were way to much. Couldn't leave on while I worked or around house. Very graphic and pornographic. I could have gone without all the talk of what went were and what needed lubed up first. Alot of different ways author could have expressed their love for each other besides this way.

Another odd installment
I liked a lot of this one but it kind of frayed for a while. Lee & Gideon continue with their ghostly adventures, playful romps. and odd family interactions. And can we talk about how Lee is the psychic but Gideon seems to do 60% of the ghostly interactions? That’s odd. Not wrong, but that the characters run about mostly ignoring Gideon’s serious psychic encounters while accepting that they happen is an odd thing for them to almost never discuss. It’s getting frustrating. I think this (book 3) made more sense than book 1 but the way the climactic scene played out didn’t jibe for me. There’s a big scene around a mystical place near Lee’s family home where Lee’s production team is filming and a bunch of stuff happened that kind of made sense to me and kind of didn’t. There is an attempt to show the same event manifesting in different ways to different people without everyone being clued in and it didn’t quite work for me. It was just weird, and not all was good weird. I don’t recommend against this one, just maybe don’t start with this book.
(Possible spoiler in this paragraph but I try to make it vague enough to not be a true spoiler) This author seems to be a big fan of people holding on to undeserved guilt and I am not such a fan. Fortunately, the author also usually gets someone to verbally assuage that guilt. Especially in *fiction*, some characters just need killing and those that perform this as a civic duty should feel better about it than they are allowed to here. A clear & present & persistent danger needs to be dealt with using available effective options. (/end spoiler-ish bits)
Having recently read several books from this author, I found a lot of this book (injured officer in hospital & recovery in particular) overlapped in my mind with the characters & plot of Half Moon Chambers almost as if one was the draft for the other. Or they grew from the same seeds. 😐
Steam: medium. Gideon & Lee enjoy each other so the explicit M/M sexytimes are tumbled joyfully throughout.
Narration: Not sure if it was the recording or my bluetooth speaker, but the audio volume was inconsistent mid-book, fading in & out. I think it was the recording because it happened most around & during the voicing of one particular character. Some of it was a bit garbled.

Love this series!
I'm loving this series so much!
I was so happy when I saw that this book was a bit longer than the previous ones, there's just never enough of Lee and Gideon.
Gideon and Lee have now moved in with each other and are happily bobbing along with the everyday stuff, their work, managing to get the wallpaper upside down, and you know - life. They are living life with all the bumps that comes along with being a psychic and working as a copper in a small town.
Don't Let Go delves deeper into the long forgotten past. A past that has been long buried and the ghosts disturbed might just come back to haunt our two favourite people. But more than that, we get to know them on a much deeper level than we already do. Questions we have are answered and new friendships are formed and old relationships are mended.
I am going to be honest with you. You don't read this series for the awesome mysteries, because frankly they can be a bit so so. You read (devour) these books for the feel of them. That creepy, yet cosy feeling Fox somehow manages to create. You read it for the wonderful characters, the amazing sense of place and just about everything about them. And they are highly addictive, so make sure you have the next book ready to go before finishing the last one!
Once again Tim Gilbert did an amazing job narrating this book. He makes you feel like you're a part of the story. You are one of the characters in the book, you are there for the adventures, and you are most definitely there yelling at Gideon for being a stubborn ass. And you will have a great time doing it.
If you haven't already, pick this series up now. I promise you won't regret it!

As time passes Lee and Gideon just fall more and more in love. They move in with one another, and are fusing their lives together more and more. These get better each book!
This book was fabulous! My favourite so far. I definitely recommend this series.
The stories are fast-paced, quick mysteries with romance and relationship as the central points, but with a satisfying amount of paranormal in them.
Same complaint about the narrator—not keeping voices straight, and starting to make women sound goofy.

Each story gets even better
A lot of suspense and tension, danger and anger and love and even more of spirits and mystery or is that only a dream? The characters develop further and are becoming more complex after some mysteries of the pasts are resolved. But for all what becomes clearer more parts of the story unravel to be carried forward to keep the reader intrigued and interested. And add some wit and humour to it and it becomes even more enjoyable to listen.

Disappointment
Being stubborn, getting wounded and refusing painkillers and medical attention is in many romances presented as being a true hero. But a pig headed stubborn idiot just annoys me. On top of that, the technical quality was bad. The ambient sound is wrong and the track is distorted. The narrator's voice moves forward, backward, to the left, to the right, gets louder and softer.
One last complaint: to perform the growly voice of Gideon, TG strained his voice to the point where he was unable to add any emotion or variation in his voice.

Story
Gideon Frayne has spent his whole working life as a policeman in the village of Dark on Bodmin Moor. His first missing-child case is eating him alive. When his own boss sends in a psychic to help with the case, he's gutted - he's a level-headed copper who doesn't believe in such things, and he can't help but think that the arrival of clairvoyant Lee Tyack is a comment on his failure to find the little girl. But Lee is hard to hate, no matter how Gideon tries. At first Lee's insights into the case make no sense, but he seems to have a window straight into Gideon's heart.

Story
Gideon's managed to swing a few festive days off, and he and Lee are looking forward to celebrating their little girl's first birthday. But duty calls, and Gideon is too good an officer to ignore the summons. He finds himself on the streets of Penzance, helping police the midwinter Montol celebrations. It's his third winter solstice with Lee, and disturbance, danger and magic are in the air. His daughter is beginning to show some remarkable gifts, and not all the family can cope with them.

Story
Priddy's a lost soul in a part of Cornwall the tourists don't get to see. He's young, sweet-natured, and gorgeous, but that's not enough to achieve escape velocity from his deadbeat village and rotten family life. He's a drifter and a dreamer, and self-preservation isn't his strong suit. An accidental overdose of a nightclub drug leaves him fractured, hallucinating, with too many vital circuits fried to function in a tough world. When a friend offers him winter work in a lighthouse, he gratefully accepts.

Story
The wedding is just the beginning...Gideon and Lee have spent a year in chaotic married bliss, with all the trimmings - a dog, tricky in-laws, and a baby girl they both adore. But even the best of lives can be fragile, and a shocking family loss hits their new world like a demolition ball. Gideon has little energy left to investigate a murder that's taken place in the fields outside Dark. He still has his duties to his community, though, and with Lee at his side, he begins to unfold the mysterious death of Farmer John Bowe.
