Publisher's Summary

Dom's Guide to BDSM is your secret handbook for methods of dom/sub activity, containing various strategies and must-know guidelines on how to get the most out of your BDSM experience. This audiobook serves as a friendly guide for the dom/master, including all of the imperative steps on how they can indulge in a dom/sub relationship, including some important terms and strategies about the basics of BDSM. This also includes a step-by-step blueprint and exciting know-how on how to train your sub and how to play with them.

BDSM - also known as bondage and discipline, domination and submission/sadomasochism - has been a common practice of people who seek intense sexual pleasure for centuries. BDSM comes naturally to most individuals, since many generally crave to be dominant while others love the pain-pleasure experience of being submissive. For many, BDSM is highly erotic compared to normal sex as it brings about different excitement and fun for both the dom and the sub. It is designed to provide intense pleasure with some element of pain typically involved in the act or acts. It is more of a "power game" rather than passionate sex.

In the game of BDSM, it takes time and dedication to learn how to play your role. It should be properly crafted and carefully planned to create a lasting union as you enjoy the sexual activities together. So in order for you and your sub to get the most out of your BDSM experience, this book was specifically written to give you the ideas and the proper strategies on how you can train your new sub from practicing BDSM on up to the closing ceremony.

The narrator is monotone and forgettable

Content is good but I found myself wanting to make the narrator to submit.

Very basic stuff

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

New to BDSM

Has Dom's Guide to BDSM Training turned you off from other books in this genre?

No

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Ambrose Essex?

Dnk

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Some items if information to learn, but not many

Any additional comments?

This is a very basic into to subject and seems to end well before discussing the whole topic so it seems very incomplete and has no depth rather than a one size fits all philosophy.

quick and painless

Usually when I read or listen to a BDSM book the writer is misinformed and tends to go off on tangents. This book was well thought out in a way that is approachable for any level. Whether you're looking to brush up on technique or are a beginner this covers the basics and makes an excellent pocket guide.

This book does not have information on complex techniques, advising an alt book for more moderate to experienced Masters.

A good listen for beginners

Well put together and insightful. Only wish it went more indepth on some of the subject matter. However it would be a much longer book.

decent

a good summarization of D/s relationships of any type. The pronoun use tends to assume males are dominant and females submissive, with no consideration for other gender identities given. That wouldn't be too abnormal if the author weren't known for her works on role reversal and feminization. otherwise a good read.

More BDSM 101 with some detail on training

While I really appreciate the attempt at BDSM educational material, I just think it falls short on accomplishing the stated purpose in the title. It is a great primer, but I was sort of expecting more detail and perhaps an example method used by Mistress Dede. It's good. just not what I expected.

Exactly the tool I needed

Excellent little guide seems to cover all of the necessary basics to begin in a succinct little package. Not being aimed at any specific partnership type is also appealing as I can share this with anyone to gain something out of it... I need to buy a paper copy of this to keep for reference in my collection. Thank you very much Mistress Dede.

loved it!

Great starting point for where to begin with training.
I always leave wishing there was more. But this was to the point and covered all areas I have been contemplating.

Thanks
