PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT Ending to this awesome series! With the crazy cliffy ending in book 4 I was dying for book 5 (I only had to wait about 12 hours but that was 11:59 to long). I needed to see Gareth get his HEA and boy did he! This book made me cry, made me laugh and made my heart soar! I especially had a huge soft spot for Gareth's relationship with Sophia. The best thing about this series was the family closeness for me. After 5 books it kind of feels like I was part of the family and not that it's over I'm heart broken but only because I will miss them. Amy Daws gave us closure for each member of the family and every got a HEA of sorts. It couldn't have ended any other way in my eyes. I'm left feeling a little sad but really very happy hearted and so satisfied.

The narration was also perfect. I loved all 3 narrators and I especially loved that with the female lead being american a new narrator was brought in but the original female narrator also stayed on to keep the voices the same for the previous characters. Simply brilliant!!

Loved it!

Continuing their story, Sloan and Gareth reveal even more of themselves to each other and also to their families. There are many surprising revelations in the conclusion of the Harris Brothers series. I loved how Amy flipped my opinion on certain characters and how she molded the story into a really amazing HEA. I adored how Sloan and Gareth stuck together and fought for each other when they were each facing hardships in life and while their particular relationship dynamic continues, it takes a backseat to the amazing plotlines Amy ties up in a pretty bow for the series.

Recovering from their attack, Sloan and Gareth stick together and try to build a life together. Surrounded by the Harris clan, Gareth must confront his past and his father so he can put the past behind him. Sloan finds her strength and reconciles her identity as a mother and Gareth’s lover allowing them to move forward with their relationship. This is just a general idea of the book, there is so much amazingness happening in this story.

I can not put into words just how much I adored the narration of this series. Will Watts, Piper Goodeve, and Charlotte Cole brought all the emotion and got me in my feels in this duet. I enjoyed these so much more in audio than I would have on the page. I also really loved the resolution of the Harris family to the death of their mother when they were children. I also loved how Sloan found her strength and a surprising ally with regards to her ex-husband. Really this story just touched on so many topics in such a sweet way, my heart was all in it. I’m pumped that Amy wrote some spin off stories that I can’t wait to dive into.

I can't believe it's over.

I can't believe it's over. I miss the Harris' already, I love them so much.

This final chapter was everything. Vi is still my favorite Harris but Gareth is my favorite brother. His story made me laugh and cry and cry some more.

Gareth is angry and overwhelmed and he can't show that to anyone until Sloan comes along. Gareth and Sloan's story was perfect for two books because one wouldn't have been enough.

Touching end to the Harris family…

Omg. What a wild ride with this Harris family. Gareth definitely needed two books. Gareth and Sloan helped each other tremendously throughout their two part saga. I loved how everyone in the Harris family got their HEA. There was a closing of a loop with Vi that just brought all the fuzzy feelings. The story is heartwarming and I cant wait to read the spin-offs.

A winner as oldest Harris brother finds happiness beyond the football/soccer pitch

This was the culmination of the Harris Brothers story though not that of friends and extended family. It also provided some resolution to some of the family drama with some touching scenes. There were several subplots, some which went nowhere like Sloans love of horses, and some very hot scenes as Gareth and Sloan flirt with a very mild version of BDSM. There was not resolution on Sloan’s career though there was a natural progression on Gareth’s. The one part of the story arc I was unhappy with involved Sloan’s horrible ex, Cal. I could see her giving him an amount of money equivalent to the bonus amount had they gotten back together just to get rid of his absurd proposals but to give in entirely and then later for him to profit from abandoning his daughter was pretty reprehensible. I would have thought a little threat of bad press at his actions would have worked better and not left the reader with the let down of a bad guy “dominating “ financially by behaving badly. Some additional retribution was warranted.
The duet style of narration really helped this performance as Will Watts tends to swallow the last syllable of words in emotional scenes so having Piper Goodeve pick up those moments helps to smooth out the narration. Hopefully there will eventually be a story centering more on the not too old senior patriarch Vaughn now that his kids are settled- other than the mysterious illegitimate American son mentioned at the end of Santino’s book. Looking forward to that next story and welcome addition in narration.

Peak Finale for the Harris Family

We get some Vaughn Harris POV to pick this duet back up and that means you KNOW you’re going to get some major head to head battles between the Harris patriarch and his eldest and most distance son.

But we’re at the hospital post attack and Sloane goes all mama bear on the Harris family to advocate for a still unconscious Gareth. Cue the ‘wake up to see her protecting me’ scene that makes Gareth officially fall in love with her.

However it’s not all Happily Ever After from that. We’ve got exes and mother in laws and her will when she passes and we’ve got bitter rivals on the pitch and Vi and Hayden getting married and officially laying Vilma to rest in an emotional family moment.

Amy gives this family a grand official send off even though we know we’ll see more of them in her future stories as auxiliary characters.

More amazing audio performances by the cast of Will Watt, Piper Goodeve and Charolette Cole.

Gareth stole my heart a little

This one was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. A good one though. Starting where we left off in Surrender, some major hurdles were leapt. Vaughn finally speaking about Vilma had me boohooing. Gareth’s breakdown at the beach got me again. Even the farewell to football got me. But even with there, there were so many good moments. Every moment where Sophia felt all the love from Gareth & the whole Harris family had me grinning from ear to ear (maybe some with tears in my eyes). Every time Gareth had the opportunity to show Sloan how special she was. And that proposal!!!
Excellent end to the Harris Brother’s series.

Narration was still very much on point

A must listen

I put off listening to this book for a long time. I didn’t think my emotions could take it. Plus I heard it had a power dynamic where the male gives up the control, and that isn’t my favourite. Add in that it is a duet, and I wasn’t in a rush.
THAT WAS A MISTAKE!
This duet is all the things. I loved it.
The power exchange actually worked perfectly for this couple, and I loved how they explored it. Gareth and Sloan are all the things. Although I wasn’t a fan of all the choices Sloan made, I love that Gareth was steadfast. And she did open herself up to love.
There are characters that will make you want to throw your device, I urge you not to do this. Stay with it, all will be okay.
The scenes between Gareth and his dad are some of the hardest hitting scenes and make the book more beautiful because of it. The entire Harris clan feature in this duet and as always bring so much laughter and family love.

Will Watt was perfection in this story. I thought he delivered in the earlier books, but this blew them out of the park. I loved that Charlotte Cole voiced the Harris bros women as I can’t imagine anyone else doing them justice. Piper Goodeve was great as Sloan, although I will admit to struggling at times, but not frequent enough to discredit the rest of her performance.

DEEP IN EMOTION

Gareth & Sloan's 2nd instalment is so much more deeper than the 1st one, they go through things in a few weeks than most couples could go through in a life time.
Gareth & Sloan became such a strong partnership, from where it started as profesional 3 yrs prior until, that one night when the life Sloan had changed & changed Gareth afterwards.
We had seen them have their weekly connection, but that all changed after 1 uneventful night after a celebratory event that things change for them & Gareth heard about Sophia.
So we see how things start going stronger for them until her ex decides to ask her to remarry just when Gareth walks in & then we see the 2 men start to fight & Sophia walks in just as Gareth was speaking about what he feels like her father feels for her & we see the downside from that situation but all changed again just before the World Cup when they open up & be honest.
It ends with a fantastic joining of ALL THE HARRIS', their partners & offspring.
A Beautiful Happy Ending for All of Them 💗💞💗💞💗💞💗💞💗💞

A fitting end to this family saga

So many emotions with this final instalment of the Harris Brothers. Gareth and Sloan finally get to be who they need to be for each other. We get to see all the family (past, present and future) interact together. I loved catching up with the whole Harris family, it seems like an age since they came into my life (over two years ago). Dominate is a truly fitting end to this family saga. We get to see a softer side of their dad as he evolves from soccer coach to doting grandfather, we get to observe all the Harris brothers and their families as they welcome Sloane and Sophia into their fold. Best of all we get to see Gareth become the man he always should have been, he’s open, caring, trusting, and just the right amount of controlling. Love really does look good on him. Narration for this wonderful story, is again perfect, I couldn’t thing of anyone better than Will watt, Piper Goodeve and Charlotte Cole to bring out the best in these characters.

A great end

I am so glad I got to listen to this second part of Gareth and Sloan's story. I thought the progression in the relationship was great they became such a great couple. I thought Gareth and Sophia had a great bond and she deserved to get a proper father. I liked the story of Gareth and his father I found it very touching. This was such a great story and my first of the Harris brothers. I have the first book in my library and will start it ASAP. Will Watt was amazing he does a great London accent and made Gareth feel so real. Piper Goodeve has such a great voice and she tells a story so well, I loved Charlotte Cole she is just an amazing story teller and very funny. A great story you would be crazy not to listen.x

Be Dominated by Gareth and Sloan

What a way to end a series! Now, I'm in a book slump! I feel like I'll never find another great series So, yeah! Thanks for that, Amy! This book delves deeper into the family dynamics, the relationship between Gareth and his father, his mother & tackling all the unanswered question from Surrender, whilst Gareth and Sloan's relationship deepens, changes, and takes a different turn! I loved it so much! I did this audiobook in one sitting because I NEEDED to know! Once again, we have great performances from Will Watt, Piper Goodeve & Charlotte Cole. Brilliantly funny and heartwarming writing from Amy Daws. Fortunately, I started the series from book three, so good for me! Yay me, for my mistake! I can go back and start at the beginning! Life is good! 5 * all the way!

All the happy tears! An absolutely perfect ending!

Perfection. A perfect ending to an utterly brilliant series. God, I can’t remember the last book where I’ve cried this much. The first half or so it was “just” choking up and becoming teary-eyed here and there, but shortly after that the dam seemed to have broken and I was a constant blubbering, sobbing mess, so happy – yes, these were happy tears! – how it all turned out. To see the family reunite and spend time and celebrate being a family, to enjoy that insane banter and bickering between the brothers (god, I’m going to miss these boys!), to hear that speech that Gareth gave before one extremely important game that somehow included all titles of the series and yet couldn’t have been more accurate – I had goosebumps during that part, a diversion from the endless tears… I cannot say enough beautiful things about this final instalment. I was a mess after this one, emotionally wrung dry in a thoroughly positive sense.

I loved how we got more insight about the brother who has been a mystery through most of the series, to see him opening up and finding his own long overdue happiness… And just the overall family closeness we got to experience this time around. It all left me utterly happy and satisfied and yet utterly heartbroken all at once. Seeing this family go truly isn’t an easy feat. This heartfelt, magnificent story brings us exactly that ending we didn’t know we needed.

There were two characters which made the story even more precious: Sophia, Sloan’s wonderful daughter – especially with her relationship to Gareth – and, as hard as it is to believe, Vaughn, the father of the Harris siblings. As much wrong as he did over all the years, as much as he robbed Gareth of a real childhood, this muchly needed instalment enabled me to see him in a totally different light as well.

Now to the narration. If the story in itself didn’t pack enough of an emotional punch already, the cast of narrators magnified it all a thousand fold. The raw emotion in Piper Goodeve’s and Will M. Watt’s voices were beyond stellar – especially also Mr. Watt’s heartbreaking narration of eight-year-old Gareth. I think it’s safe to say he’s my absolute favorite male narrator. Another highlight of this duet within the series is the special appearance by Charlotte Cole, who joined the duo to give voices to the female British voices like she did in the previous books.

Seriously, this is one of my top favorite audio books of this year – if not ever.
