The girl with spider hair

Since we last saw him, Ben has been pulling double duty–dog walker by day, demon slayer by night. Toby assists in the latter, growing more violent with each kill. Dogs can be domesticated, but an inugami's murderous instincts are not easily suppressed.

Ten-year-old wrestling prodigy Ash Ocampo is possessed by a sentient spider, which plans to overthrow humanity and bring about a new Age of Yōkai. Wanting to help Ash but worried he is losing Toby, Ben seeks the assistance of Lucas Alcindor–a freelance demon trainer with three inugami of his own. Can Ben regain control of Toby before disaster strikes? Can Ash free herself before the demon inside reigns supreme? Or are both merely prey for the monstrous wolves of the Shadow Pack?

Patrick Trahey isn't Travis Baldree

The story was probably just as ridiculously fun as the first, but Patrick's voice brings a more adolescent feel to the story. It was challenging to separate my expectations from the first 5 star stellar book with this very adequate reading. There were several climactic moments when the narrator got especially into character and I was sucked into the story, but then was taken out again by an over the top "BLAM!" with added sound effect. I would recommend that listeners take a decent break between books to give your mind a reset for what to expect from the narration. I will also recommend the book to many of my nerdy friends.

Fantastic followup

Dog Walker was a great book. Dog Walker II is even better. Its a sequel that is worth listening too. More action, great continuation of the first book. Its more of the fun of the original with a denser story. Really did like both, looking forward to hearing what 3 has to offer.
