“He seems like a bad influence.”

Beau’s been hearing about his brother’s best friend Trick for years - and has made his disapproval of their friendship known in more ways than one. Beau’s a steady, solid, set-in-his ways kind of guy, and he just wants his brother to do well in life...but this Trick guy is at the root of every mischievous story his brother tells.

"I’m not afraid of being who I am and wanting what I want. Are you?"

Patrick thrives on spontaneity, mischief, and mayhem. Injured in a car accident in his teens, he hasn’t let his limited mobility hold him back from experiencing all life has to offer. And when life offers up a cute vet just when he needs help for his service dog Pepper, who is he to turn it down?

Great Beginning

Such a sweet and enjoyable book! When Beau and Patrick meet, they don’t know that they are acquainted with each other. Patrick is known as Trick to Beau. He is Beau’s younger brother’s roommate. Beau thinksTrick is a bad influence on his brother. Beau meets Patrick and his service dog Pepper. Patrick is spontaneous and Beau is a planner. Beau is not sure about Patrick, but thinks he can handle a fling. As they become better acquainted, Beau develops intense feelings for Patrick. He is reluctant to get in to deep with someone he doesn’t see being permanent. Patrick has been hurt by men who can’t get past his wheelchair. As Patrick develops feelings for Beau, he really wants to give it a try. The SunnydaleVets series is off to a great start. This book will make you smile. Enjoy getting to know the characters. They are well developed and will make you smile. Realty enjoyed the narration. Looking forward to hearing him again. Austin is off to another great start! Looking forward to the next installment.

Cute & Sweet

A cute and sweet story that is a promising start to this series. Patrick and Beau meet when Patrick’s service dog is injured and is taken to Beau’s vet clinic. Sparks fly as soon as they meet and they begin seeing each other but Beau isn’t too sure about Patrick especially when he finds out that Patrick is also his brother’s best friend who he’s always thought of as a bad influence! Things do get complicated but through it all, I really like how sure of himself Patrick is and he doesn’t give up. If only he could break through Beau’s walls! The narrator did a great job with all of the characters and with the story. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.

Bo & Patrick

Bo does not know what hit him when he meets Patrick. Bo is so very organized and planned in everything, it is difficult to do anything outside those lines. Patrick has so much perseverance through his trials, his spontaneous outlook is refreshing. They are so much oppositesand have much to learn from one another.

Cute story

Audiobook given by author in exchange for an honest review.

This is a sweet omegaverse story about chance encounters, surprises and letting go and doing the unexpected for once in your life in order to get what you want.

Bo and Patrick are just perfect for one another, they complement each other perfectly and are adorable together.

Things I did not entirely love... I have to admit I felt a little disconnected from the characters and the relationship they were developing, so I wasn’t really invested. Also, the interactions on the book were all a little awkward, so my head really got into the story, I’m still trying to figure out if it was the narration or the writing though.

But, as a beginning it seems promising, and I’m willing to continue with it, because I do think the characters were cute.

Dog Days of Summer

When Patrick’s service dog is injured while he is on vacation, he meets Beau a wonderful alpha veterinarian who not only helps his service dog but steals his heart as well. What will happen when the two find out just who they truly are? Will their attraction prove to be strong or will the two end what they have just started?

This is a sweet story about finding love in the last place that you would expect it. I enjoyed Patrick and Beau. Patrick is a strong man and even though he relies on a service dog he can still stand on his own. Beau is a good man who sees more to Patrick than someone who is disabled. Their attraction is hot right form the start and I enjoyed watching it grow and deepen as they spend time together. It was nice to see the way the two work through their problems together. The two men are opposites but both men are ready to try. Their story moves at a good pace and is a nice introduction to this world.

Excellent start for a series

Full disclosure I received a copy from the author in exchange for a honest review.
I loved Patrick and Beau. And Pepper.
Excellent representation of a character with disabilities.
A tried and true entry for the discovered identity trope.
A most enjoyable read.

Is it Trick or Patrick?

Patrick's best friend and roommate from college finally twists his arm enough to get him to come and visit him and his family in their hometown. Patrick wheelchair bound and is accompanied by his service dog Pepper. While they are both out looking around the town Pepper jumps in front of Patrick to stop him and gets hit by an SUV driven by a teenager. The kid takes Patrick and Pepper to the local Vet's office. The Vet that helps is Beau who just happens to be the roommate's brother. Neither Patrick or Beau know who the other is to Travis. They are drawn to each other and start dating and sleeping together. Beau is the first Alpha that Patrick feels different about. Like Beau really sees him and knows how to care for him without taking away his independence. When Beau finds out that Patrick is really Trick, Travis' partying bad influence of a roommate he flips. Beau thinks that every part of his life has to be planned out to maintain his control. Patrick kind of takes life as it happens. The two could never work, could they? With some really good advise from his boss Beau takes a leap of faith with Patrick. It's a beautiful story. You don't want to miss it.

So Adorable!

Beau and Patrick are so adorable. Beau is a vet that likes routine whereas Patrick is mischievous, spontaneous and Beau's brother's best friend. These two are opposites of eachother, but are adorable together!

Brought together by a beautiful labrador...

Patrick's dog Pepper's accident brought him to Beau, the gorgeous vet. A happy coincidence? I think it was. While Beau is so structured, Patrick is a fresh breath of air, spontaneous and full of life. I loved the contrast between the two and how undettered by obstacles Patrick was. Great narration too.
