Publisher's summary

When a chance encounter with a pickpocket leads to something more sinister, avid sleuth Patricia Fisher swings into action.

The Aurelia is on its way to Thailand, but a mystery illness is spreading among crew and passengers. Is there a link between it and a world-famous immunologist on board? There is something very strange about his companions and their behaviour, but no one wants to listen to Patricia’s outlandish theories.

When people she cares about join the growing number of sick people, Patricia sees no option other than to trace the cause for herself. Finding the truth will lead to her craziest caper yet.

Be ready for more hi-jinx aboard the world’s most luxurious cruise ship.

Jumping the shark a bit.

For the most part, I enjoyed the story, however, the zombie scene was a bit much. Also, the new narrator kept changing Barbie’s voice from the sweet, somewhat airheaded yet gorgeous 20 something to the voice of a male character.

Even better the previous one!

This was super!

I did not care as much for this narrator. She had Barbie’s voice all wrong and it was not only distracting because it was so different but also weird in itself.

But the story was soooo good! I don’t usually feel good spending an entire credit on books this short, but so far this series has been worth every credit!

The Aurelia has a big problem

Doctor Death:A Patricia Fisher Mystery Book 5. Steve Higgs writes outstanding books with zany wonderful characters. Helena Little does a great narration. There is a serious illness spreading on the Aurelio. Can Patricia and her friends solve the problem and save everyone? All of the books in this series are funny and totally enjoyable.

I wish I had my money and time back

I don't expect cozy mysteries to be completely believable but this one strays too far from reality. The zombie scene was particularly ludicrous. Other departures from believability: No quarantine area would ever allow Patricia to come and go freely without protective gear. Doctors treating desperately sick patients would never stop what they're doing to give a passenger updates whenever she wanted them. The entire plot line was pretty ridiculous. Kudos to the narrator for delivering a professional performance of such slapstick material. I enjoyed the first 2 books in this series but they seem to be going downhill.
