From the New York Times bestselling authors of The Unhoneymooners and Love and Other Words, a story of friends, love, and lust in this sequel to Sweet Filthy Boy.

Despite their rowdy hookups, Harlow and Finn don’t even like each other...which would explain why their marriage lasted only twelve hours. He needs to be in charge and takes whatever he wants. She lives by the Want-something-done? Do-it-yourself mantra. Maybe she’s too similar to the rugged fisherman—or just what he needs.

This audio is SO HARD to rate for a couple of reasons:

1. While Sebastian York's voice has this fantastic deep, baritone-y quality that is quite capable of turning your knees to goo, he also mails it in on the acting part of the job. He took a couple half-hearted stabs at Oliver's Aussie accent but Ansel apparently turned Americano overnight.

IT'S A MIRACLE!

Ohhh wait, no. Whatever the opposite of miracle is is what it is, BECAUSE ANSEL HAS A PANTY-MELTING FRENCH ACCENT.

Nobody hides Baby in the corner, is all I'm saying.

2) Finn... *hangs head* *sigh* epic dick move, bruh. I understand why he was upset. I do. I get it. AND I don't even think that his ire was misplaced but the way he handled it, especially after the night he and Harlow had and everything that had recently transpired between them?

No. Direct to the penalty box, Finn. Do not pass 'go'. Do not collect $200.

But the rest of the story was really entertaining which makes it difficult to decipher my feels.

Harlow and Finn have a lot of chemistry. Christina Lauren seem to be masters of developing this between their protagonists. IDK if they had more chemistry than Mia and Ansel, but still. Tingly feels were had.

Finn is ALLLLLLLLLLL-PHA! He's also kinky as hell and a big un. *pants* The thing Harlow said about him making everyone else look "snack sized"... yeah. *ALL THE BELLS ringing distantly in the background* They engage in bondage, spanking, biting and D/s so if you're not a fan of kink, exercise caution. I liked it because it was unfussy kink. It's clear Finn knows what he's doing and they don't jump off the deep end but build gradually to more intensity as their feelings for each other grow.

All of which was hot like burning as was the way he dotes on her after their scenes.

Overall, I liked both Harlow and Finn, thought they were pretty well developed and had some cute banter. I believed the evolution of them going from casual to friends to forever and was touched by the intensity of their feelings for each other. I felt like I went on the journey with them.

Were it not for Finn being a cowardly wanker I probably would be rating this higher. Even though Harlow's maturity in handling the conflict was a nice counterbalance to Finn's immaturity and I appreciated that the animosity and conflict didn't drag on and on, he was still an epic dickbag.

Still, I really like this series and catching up with this little makeshift family so I can't rate it less than 3.5 and I have no complaints about Shayna Thibodeaux. I'm starting to acclimate to her "punching" thing.

Recommend to fans of alpha romance with an opposites attract trope.

dangerously close to alphahole territory

Finn and Harlow are such opposites but perfect for each other.
So many great scenes and I absolutely love the narration by Shayna and Sebastian.

My favorite in the series

Another down and dirty series from Christina Lauren! Not for the faint of heart, but very enjoyable read! Dovetails with the 'Beautiful' series as well. Highly recommend for the romance fan that wants a little 'more' with their romance story!

Love the Wild Seasons Series!

Every Christina Lauren book makes me happy and I've never read one that I've not loved. These two authors struck gold joining forces and I wish them nothing but joy and success. Harlow and Finn are amazing and the story has so many feels, I seriously feel lightheaded.
Just perfection. The narrators and authors are just perfect.

Never a dull moment

I've listened to every book in my library by this duo a dozen times and each time I do I love them just as much as the first time. What they do really well is being the male perspective to life (Sebastian helps too!) and the dialog is always quick and witty. This plot is a little darker than the others in this series and deals with a harder storyline but they do it in such a way that it never feels hopeless or depressing. It's the perfect balance of life's challenges while maintaining the humor and heat we come to look for in a book by this pair. Can't wait for the next in this series!

Love love Christina Lauren
