This one has it all

Love, romance, betrayal, friendship and lust, it doesn’t miss one thing. Kaz and Emily are together again but it’s only the beginning of finding out what it takes to stay together. Sometimes you have to be willing to fight for it. These two do it oh so well.

Our Lion & Mouse are a powerful combination!

I did have a hard time with the new female voice at first but got over it as the store continued on through the craziness that Kaz & Em go through. The story took me for a ride and keeps going deep into the history of the Russian world around them all. I can't wait to listen to the next book. Thank you Keyna Wright! 👍🏽

Love the story HATE the narrator

Ok, I wasn't in love with the last narrator, Shari considering such a mature voice was portraying such a young character and her characterization range was not that wide---seemed to have the same voice for everyone. That being said, this new female narrator is Hoooooorrrible!!!! Her cadence and tone is frankly annoying!! And her accents are the worst!! I find myself hanging on for the male narrator.

The storyline is good. I understand that in a series this length, one has to lay down groundwork. I do feel that there should be some way to indicate the passage of time. So much does not have to occur in such a short amount of time. Does this even take place over a week's time?

Can’t wait for the next

Great as usual! The foursome sequence dream was one of the best I’ve heard from the series. Can’t wait for the next Kaz Emily continuation

The female narrator sucks!!

I am in love with the story of the Lion and the Mouse. This new female narrator is worse than the last. Her male voices are so nasally that at times I have no idea what she is talking about. In addition, when she narrates The Mouse she is so over the top. There are inflections in her voice that are confusing. Just an overall hotmess! I don’t even want the next book in the series because I see she is a narrator. I may have to get the hard copy. The story is worth it. Kenya Wright is an amazing story teller and her character development is amazing.

So much more than I expected

Ok when I read the first book Redemption, which was too good , I wasn’t sure what to expect with the Lion and the Mouse series. I AM SO GLAD I READ IT. I can’t wait for the next book #6. I started reading ( actually I listen on Audible) it one night and the next thing I knew it was 5:20am... I have found another Author to read and I AM HAPPY....

Good but not Great

I like this series and the story of Emily and Kaz but this book wasn’t my favorite (a bit slower paced). The narration was distracting. Ellis Evans should narrate the entire book, he’s got all the accents and TOVs down.

Very Disappointing

I have to agree with another reviewer who said that Lacy Laurel just didn't cut it narrating Emily and was terrible to say the least with her voicing of the other characters. Terrible attempt at accents, simply terrible. If Shari Peele couldn't or wasn't available to narrate this book, it would have been infinitely better to have Ellis Evans narrate the book by himself. He does an excellent job of the characters both male and female and all accents, This book's storyline was also a major let-down. I almost would have liked it better if it ended with an exciting or completely unexpected cliffhanger, so that I was begging for more. Sadly, I'm not quite there. To think I preordered this book with such great anticipation... (making the "whah-whaa" sound).
