Publisher's summary

Who do I need to con to get her?

Alex:

I loved being a con man. Especially using my IT background to rig online poker to make money. But my dad got in trouble with the mafia, and now the head of the mafia, Frank Sputafuoco, wants me to do his dirty work. If I don't get him the millions of dollars he wanted by the end of the week, he said he'll kill my dad and rat me out to the feds.

He sent Destiny to me to make sure I stuck to the plan and didn't try to pull one over them.

I didn't know what she looked like when they first mentioned her to me. But after one look, I knew she had to be mine.

Destiny:

Angelo, the man I was supposed to end up and his ruthless father sent me to Alex to try to squeeze as much money as possible from his clients. I had no intention of doing anything except making sure the job was done.

But then I overheard Angelo talking about having someone be killed by accident. And I knew he was referring to Alex's dad.

I didn't know what to do. Or who to trust. I can't believe he would do something like that!

I got closer to Alex. Closer than I thought I would. But could I really get away from this mafia family I was supposed to join? Would Alex accept me, coming from the mafia? I don't know. But I knew I was willing to take that chance.

Dirty Money is a full length standalone dark mafia romance novel. There are no cliffhangers, no cheating, and a guaranteed happy ending!

FAST PACED AND DANGEROUS GAME

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

Tia Lewis writing with Roxy Sinclair achieved a quality and complex story. We're immediately thrown into the execution of a Mafia run, digital money-making scheme and although it takes a while to understand the operation, the characters and their situations are quickly established. Tia and Alex are perched precariously on a very high wire and the story oozes that tension. Two people from different worlds, carried in on different paths are trapped in a dangerous game.

Two Thumbs for this new series!

Sexy And Interesting 🎲🃏

When a gambling debt puts Alex's father at the mercy of the mob Alex must step in and pay to try and save him.
Destiny who sees the Mafia life as an opportunity to better her situation actually realizes she's just a pawn in the dirty games.
When the fate of these two collide and the attraction takes over things do get
steamy but.. not overly descriptive.
Add the Fed's that want information to the mix and the action picks up.

The narrator has a pleasant voice and I think he was the right choice for this book.
My only issue with him was.. his tone basically stayed the same for male and female characters.
This made it difficult to distinguish the difference at times.

A side from that this Mafia romance is worth a listen.
I was given this book in exchange for my honest review.
I hope the pro of this being a good listen out weighs the con of the narration confusion.

Wonderful

Any additional comments?

This audiobook was given to me for a honest unbiased review. I LOVED this book. Roxy Sinclaire plus mafia romance equal a great time had by all. but this outdid my expectations, which were already high. Wyatt Mittel was a great narrator, his gravelly voice is perfect for mafia /crime characters.

Suspenseful start!

I love dark romance, and this book did not disappoint. The buildup was slow, but the suspense made it worth the wait. Alex, a coding genius has something the mafia wants. The mafia, has something that Alex wants to protect, so their mutual needs bring them together. Alex is teamed up with Destiny, and now the fun begins. Between the sizzling attraction with Alex and Destiny and the heap of danger they are in, you can't help but keep reading...or in my case listening. There were some underlying relationships too that the story interesting. Zoey, Destiny's best friend, and Belt the FBI agent are two of my favorite, though Angelo, the son of the Mafia Father is the perfect character you love to hate. Roxy Sinclaire and Tia Lewis weave a tale of emotional bonding, suspense, and total brilliance(yes, I loved Alex and his incredible thought processes).

This is my first narrative listen of Wyatt Mittel. He has a sexy gravel to his voice, perfect for the mafia crime type of books and brings vibrancy and emotion to the story. Will be looking forward to more of his books.

Intriguing mafia story

***** Well written book by two awesome authors. I love the mafia genre of romance books. This book grabbed my attention from the beginning. I loved the unexpected twists. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Having read the book I was thrilled to listen to it and loved it more. Wyatt Mittel did a great job with the performance. I was provided with this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, narrator, and/or publisher.

Great Mafia Romance

Any additional comments?

This was a great mafia story that had a little of everything. The story is very suspenseful and kept my interest. The chemistry between Alex and Destiny was a slow-burn one, but one that ends with a HEA.

Dirty Money!

Would you listen to Dirty Money: A Dark Mafia Romance again? Why?

I'm not sure I would listen to it again...but I think I would like to read it next time...to let my own imagination run wild!

What does Wyatt Mittel bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

he brought the characters to life...they are not what I probably would've pictured had I read it myself.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Destiny found out about Alex's father, she was pretty sure they were talking about him when they said that there was an accident...although she wasn't positive and wasn't sure if she should tell Alex...she thinks shes found a way to escape & is getting ready to leave, but after a "conversation" Destiny decides to stay & help Alex...this is where she comes clean with Alex tells him about herself & his father (although he already knew), which is a good thing because up until this point, Alex really wasn't sure if he should trust her.

Dirty Money Review...

Really thought the plot was going to evolve. And then it didn't. Narration was decent.

ONLY Use 1 Narrator if 1 POV or 3rd Person!!!!!!

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom. I feel like a broken record. I'm not sure who chooses the narrators and decides to only have one performer when the writer has provided two different POV's. If it's the writer, shame on them. They should want the listeners to get the experience they intended when they write the story. If it's the publishers... GET A CLUE!!!!! It is very rare that a single narrating performer can pull off both a female and male POV and make the listeners happy. I have only experienced a very small handful, and they are such awesome narrators that it's hard for them to perform so poorly that I wouldn't like what they do. They are the ones who could read a phone-book to me and I would love their work (Andi Arndt, Sebastian York, Jeffrey Kafer, Aiden Snow, Tracy Marks, just to name a few). I couldn't even finish this audiobook because I had a hard time listening to the male narrator perform the female POV in this story. He's not a bad narrator, but his inflection for the two different characters is so similar it's hard to remember or realize he is performing the female character and not a male one. It's too distracting and frustrating. I will have to just read this book to enjoy the way the writers intended to present the story to me. If they ever re-do the audiobook and add a female performer for the other POV, I will give it another try. I was very disappointed that I couldn't finish this audiobook because it's title and cover really grabbed me and knowing who the two authors are, I expected to enjoy it.
