Engrossing

I thoroughly enjoyed this series about genetically engineered children. It’s thought-provoking about such issues, as well as having action and adventure. The narrator did a great job portraying myriad voices. I received a free copy of this audiobook.

Stunning

What an amazing set of books! This was a clean contemporary sci-fi fantasy with some psychological elements that made listening a tense but thrilling experience! There was some violence, but no language and nothing improper as far as romance went (I think there were two kisses and nothing beyond that). The focus was on the moral and social problems of genetic testing, human trafficking, slavery, and how we treat each other in general. This collection ended with a happy for now, with a hint of more stories to come, which I’ll be waiting for! The narrator did a fabulous job with all of the many voices, accents, and emotions portrayed!

An Adventure in Fantasy

Wow! I read the e-books some time ago and was ready for a second time. However I had no idea how wonderful it would be to listen to the audio version of the books. The voices brought the characters and stories alive. It was much easier to keep track of everyone and what they were doing with all different voices. And of course, the whole story was as good as the time I read them. I can't wait to see the next book, Dustin's Decision!

The narrator, Julie Hinton, was fabulous! She voiced each character with skill and I always knew which character was which! It helped me keep track of all that was going on throughout all 4 books.

I requested this audio book from the author and am voluntarily leaving this review.

Children

This story/series caught my interest from the start. I only listened to the audiobook version of the stories. They were well written, entertaining, and interesting. AT times the children’s thoughts and behavior were too adult for a young child, beyond precocious, which took away from the believability of the story. Suspend that, and they were amazing. The narration was excellent. The voices, speech patterns, and overall personification of each child was excellent. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review.
