Publisher's Summary

Ian Pierce is the chef and part owner of the hottest restaurant in Cincinnati. His chosen family is full of happy relationships, and the scruffy, snarky cop who has been haunting his dreams is one step closer to being in his bed. But everything comes crashing down when the past he narrowly escaped nine years ago comes to a deadly head.

Hollis Banner was enamored of Ian at first sight. He’s kept his distance, knowing the gorgeous, self-confident man is out of his league. Yet, there’s no standing aside when Boris Jagger escapes a raid. Jagger's world has been nearly destroyed, and this time, the crime boss is coming after Ian and his friends personally.

Hollis will do whatever it takes to keep Ian safe as they escape to a safe house with a couple of Ian's overprotective friends. And Ian finds himself in a race to unlock painful memories - memories containing information that could take down the very last of Jagger's illegal operations forever.

Trigger warning: Flashbacks to abuse could be possible triggers for some.

Cannot get enough

This is one of my favorite series. Happy to finally listen to Ian's story. Medium heat level. Not angsty. Kenneth Obi hits it out of the park again.

AMAZING

Another great add to the series. Man, do I love these guys and every character we are introduced to. If you're like me I've been waiting for Ian's book FOREVER and it was worth the wait. This is the conclusion to a lot of questions about Ian and his past. This is not a lite read and there are some heavy emotional topics. Kenneth Obi gives them justice and hits it on the head; every emotion comes to life and you really feel this book. Surprises along the way had me guessing what could possibly happen next. Action, romance and so much more in this great Audio.

Steamy and suspenseful

This series just gets better and better. You do have to read in order. Devour is the 4th book and takes up where Torch ended. This is also Ian and Hollis’s story. I adore Ian and he is like the glue in all four books. There is a lot of action, some twists and lots of sexiness! Kenneth Obi brings this great story to life with his voices. Lucas’ voice is so sexy it makes you Shiver (pun intended) Rowe has a tough guy Boston or Jersey type accent and Hollis has a southern, Georgia accent. You can discern all men just buy the voices. Kenneth also acts out the emotion, like sighing, chuckling and OH The bad guys' chuckle makes my skin crawl! He makes it more than listening to a book being read to you but listening to a play or movie.

action, humor and sexiness

This series is full of suspense, action, humor, love and sexy men. Ian finally gets his happy ending, not that it came easy. But Hollis stood by his side through the pain, ups and downs. Loved how Hollis truly saw Ian for who he was...a strong sexy man, not a victim. kenneth Obi does an awesome job of bringing all these emotions alive.

Ian’s such a sweetheart!

Story: Ian is such a cute character in this series! Such a strong personality despite all the background heartache! I loved how the story arc was brought to a close here and how the MCs’ story played into it beautifully. Narration: 5 out of 5. Amazing voice.

Amazing amazing amazing

We finally have our 4 men with their other halves! This was Ian’s turn, and just have to say, Kenneth’s Narration sealed this for me. The raw emotion and grit, you were wrapped up from the beginning and my heart went out with every heartbreaking discovery of the past Ian had to go through. Hollis was simple perfection for Ian, and I couldn’t have been happier with the wrapping up of this book. We had action, sexy times, friends till the death and heartbreaking memories. This series literally has everything

Devoured this one!

Ian Pierce, chef, sweetest guy ever, is finally getting his story. Hollis Banner, enamored with Ian, cop, is the one for Ian. They are an unlikely couple who go through hell and high water to be together. With the help of Row, Noah, Snow, Lucas, and the rest of the motley crew we see Ian and Hollis’ love story expand. I loved this book. Obi’s narration brings to life Drake and Elliott’s words make for an enjoyable listen. Highly recommend!!

🎧Kenneth's Audioslaves Reviewer🎧

Devour (Unbreakable Bonds Series Book 4) by Jocelynn Drake and Rinda Elliott. This story was well written with good character development. This was a great listen. I can't wait to listen to the next book. The Narrator Kenneth Obi did a fantastic job bringing these characters and story to life.

heartbreaking story

I loved reading this story and the audio is as good if not better. This is very hard to listen to at times as we discover more of Ian's past, but it is so good. I love both Hollis and Ian, they are so good together and for each other. the story that started in the previous books winds down in this one. It is full of action, sweetness, love and heat. Kenneth Obi was amazing doing all the different voices and making this story feel real

Fantastic Gripping Plot

The fourth book in the fantastic unbreakable bond series. It culminates the over arching plot in a gripping fast paced story. Ian has such strength and vulnerability, fighting to overcome his past demons. It is a beautiful romance which has been long in coming to fruition. The narration is fantastic, Ken has the ability to give each character a distinct voice making it so easy to follow. I love Ken's mellow tones which is so smooth and easy to listen to. I highly recommend this audio book and all of the books in the series

Loved it!

Unbreakable Bonds series is one of my all time favourites. I could tell you about the story but you can read the blurb. You need to read/listen to the previous books to get the most out of the story. Kenneth does an amazing job with the narration. His voices are distinct and he really captures the story so well. He manages to keep all the characters distinct - he does Rowe so well (although my fav has to be Snow!) Great story and read super well!

as great as the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Kenneth Obi is one of the top 5 narrators (so far) for me, I can listen without break and have no problems to follow. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review. PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!! To my ratings: 5* - very very good it's like an A+ 4* - very good and will be often re-listening it's like an A 3* - it's more then a one-time-listening. it's like a B

A wild ride

Drake and Elliott’s 4th book in the Unbreakable Bonds series ties many loose ends together. It is gripping and engaging. Obi has done a masterful job of making these fascinating characters jump to life. He also was able to draw deep emotional ranges. Truly a masterful narration.

Another fantastic book in the series

I've really enjoyed all of this series. This finds family are so lovely to be around and Ian has always been my favourite, so I loved seeing him get his HEA. Once again, everyone's story line moved on. The plot was exciting and kept me in the edge of my seat. Kenneth Obi did a fantastic job and was truly menacing. I'm kinda scared of him now 😂. He's such a great narrator and I love his take on these characters.

Ian’s Happy Ever After ❤️

At last we get Ian’s story and it’s well worth the wait. This series has been one of the best I’ve listened to in a long while and I love the dynamics between the characters and the storyline that runs throughout the four books. Kenneth Obi’s narration has been spot on and he has become one of my go to narrators since being introduced to him through the authors. I hope he continues to narrate for them.

Good to get Ian’s backstory!

The Unbreakable Bonds boys are back, finally focussing on Ian, chef extraordinaire, and his shy admirer and cop, Hollis. The overarching story arc over this series has involved revenge and danger and this book ties up the first four books. Ian’s child sexual abuse backstory is the most challenging of the four, but is handled without prurience. While there’s less to smile about in this book, there’s plenty of romance and action. 🎧 Kenneth Obi narrated well, opting to give Ian the gentlest of voices, one that suits his character and contrasts with the many alpha characters.
