What a treat! ORDER SEQUENCE note at bottom....beware

Nice short “fix” of Alex Cross. HOWEVER, I believe the ORDER sequence is wrong. The order sequence I had listed the book shot “Cross Kill” BEFORE “Cross the line” and this one AFTER. Cross Kill did not make sense to me until AFTER Cross the Line. So, reader beware....read:
Cross the Line
*Cross Kill
*Detective Cross then
The People vs. Alex Cross

While they are all good, it will make MUCH more sense. Enjoy!

Cross just keeps it going

This was less than three hours, not sure if it was abridged or just how it was, but I enjoyed it. All action, good plot, hit home with how poorly vets are treated in this country. First of this short version listen I had experienced. I like Alex Cross though. I wish I could find same narrator for the Cross Justice one. That was my first Cross novel, just liked how he kept me intrigued.

Review

Wonderful book. Heartwarming about disabled military veterans. Thank you for remembering them in your book and helping civilians understand their challenges. I am at vet too

Wrong Narrator

This is my 2nd - and last - short Alex Cross audiobook. The narrators for both are NOT the voice and character of Alex Cross. What's going on? I've read/listened to all Cross novels; seen all the movies, and I'm not going to be continuing unless the narrator IS Alex Cross personified. It's almost as bad as expecting Tom Cruise to be Reacher! When you spend hours (and $$$) invested in a character driven series, I feel the author has an obligation to make sure the narrator/actor personifies the character.

great, but short

it was a really nice storyline, but the story itself was a lot shorter than I am used to from him.

Excellent

I enjoyed JP's short story. The performance was good, but not a 5 out of 5. It's ok tho, nobody's perfect.

tough subject matter expertly portrayed

discussing wounded veterans I'd never easy. this story expertly wove a realistic plot wrapped around a hard to discuss subject with compassion and understanding giving you a much better understanding of what wounded warriors endure and how important veterans support groups are to their continued post war quality of life
thank you for telling their story
