Romance, Suspense and More!

This third book in the Rise of the Arkansas Werewolves series is full of romance, suspense and more! Jayden wasn’t the same after saving Haley from Red Weres months ago and now she is in the sights of a stalker and he must once again protect her. Haley has been abandoned by her fiancé and family and is trying to start over in Arkansas however a stalker is making this difficult. As usual Jodi Vaughn gives us wonderful characters, including Jayden and Haley well as other characters we have grown to love from the series. Of course granny provides us with the comic relief we always enjoy in these books! Jeffrey Kafer never disappoints with his extraordinary narration. It always amazes me how he can come up with so many different voices. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am providing an unbiased review.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

This book is the full package. A good plot, humor, great character's, and action. I loved Granny and her entrepreneurial ventures lol. Jayden the dirty talking alpha wolf definitely brought the sexy back to my book play list. Jeffrey Kafer's performance certainly contributed to kicking the heat factor up a notch. Because I haven't listened to the other book's in this series I went into this book without the character's back story. Lucky the author recaps enough of the previous books to fill in the gaps. So I had no trouble keeping up. This book could be a stand alone, but I will be buying the rest of this series because I loved it so much. Want an awesome wolf series with HEA endings? This one's it. Too hot to handle

Haley and Jayden were smoking hot. Their story had a little bit of everything. Enjoyable from beginning to end. I voluntarily reviewed this audiobook.

Howling good

Haley is thrown out by her parents for being damages good after being kidnapped by rogue shifters. Jayden saved her and has scars to of love it. Several months later he is assigned to protect her form a stalker. She is a college student, he is a world worn several years older man. But their passions heat up, but will their lives go on opposite directions after she is safe. Fate has all the answers.

Couldn't get enough

I knew that I was going to really like this story just based on the first 5 minutes of chapter one. I was laughing so hard at what Granny said. She's a character!! The story picks up 6 months after Jaden & Haley were rescued from the red wolves that happened in book 2. Jaden walks in on one of Granny's sex toy parties that she gives & Haley is there. This is the first time that he has seen her since they were both rescued. They are both damaged from what they went thru. Haley has moved to Arkansas after her parents disowned her. She's being stalked & went to Barrett, the Alpha of the Arkansas wolves, for help. He assigns Jaden to her. He's supposed to stay in the background so she doesn't know he's there, but when she has a male student make her uncomfortable, he can't stand back & intervenes. When her stalker gets too close & he didn't sent them, he moves her from the dorm she's living in to stay at the house he's been staying at to be able to better protect her. Things heat up between them & her stalker steps up his threats. The story is filled with action & I loved all of the characters in the story. The characters are all unique with differing backgrounds. Each is wonderfully thought-out & written. I'm looking forward to reading/listening to the other books in the series. Story ends with an HEA.

My Thoughts on Desires of a Full Moon

I think I may love this third book of the series more than the previous two. I loved all the characters, especially Jayden and Haley. They both went through something traumatic at the same time and they both have emotional, mental and some physical scars from the experiences. How they help each other move past it made for a great romance. I love the connection between the books and story lines and how they still manage to be completely separate stories at the same time. This book gave me a chance to reconnect with the characters that I came to know and love in the first two stories and I also got to know Jayden and Haley ( we were introduced in the previous books) even better. Once again Jeffrey Kafer did an outstanding job with the narration on this one. I love all the different voices he created for the different characters (granny is particularly funny) and will happily continue listening to any romance I can get my hands on that he narrates. I hope there are many more books in this series to come. I am especially looking forward to Barrett finally meeting his match.

Great story, but not much shapeshifting

I haven't read any of the other stories in this series, but that wasn't a problem at all. The author did a great job of writing sufficient backstory for the characters that I was able to easily understand things. The characters were all unique and well-written, making me very interested in reading the other books in this series. The only thing that I would have liked to see was more shapeshifting -- although the plot involved shapeshifters, nobody actually shapeshifted into a wolf until the final climactic scene. Instead, the focus of the story was on the developing romance and the stalker-thriller plot. The narration was quite good; the only reason why I didn't give the narration a higher rating was because of the way the narrator's voice inflected downwards at the end of his sentences (it was distracting to me) - I absolutely loved his narration... until he'd get to the final syllable of the final word in his sentences! I loved this book and will definitely be getting the two before this one to hear those stories. I hadn’t read any of the series before and was able to listen to this one without getting lost, but I feel I may have been able to understand some of the little side pieces better if I had. An amazing book that I would definitely recommend.

Always a Fan

zi am faithful fan of the writing and narration combination of JV and JK. Except for a few instances of the wrong voice being used..... Excellant!!!!☆☆☆☆☆

Great Story, Great Narration!

Typically I do not listen to many shifter books, but I had heard many wonderful things about the author's writing style. Jodi Vaughn is an awesome author! I loved the humor in the book. This is a standalone listen and it is part of a series. While the character of Granny (she has a sex toy business) is wonderfully outrageous and endearing, she only has a minor role in this story. Hailey and Jayden are the focus in this book. They try to fight their feelings and growing relationship, which adds to the book. Both Hailey and Jayden are overcoming mental and physical scars. Hailey has a stalker, she was previously kidnapped, and abandoned by her family and boyfriend. Jayden was battered and abused physically. This story has romance, suspense, humor, steam and great writing, The narration by Jeffrey Kafer fit this book perfectly. His voice and expressions were exactly what the story called for. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Loved it

A thrilling suspense and a sweet romance. This is one of my favourites of the series. The narration is excellent as always. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reading audio copy.
