Publisher's Summary

I know he's a shifter before I see him. As I step inside, desire pulls me under like a wave. Vampires are delicious, but nothing is as scorching hot as a powerful werewolf. I'm not sure what I want more - to have him bend me over the table, or to feed on his otherworldly energy.

I crave both.

Temptation! This is how my problems begin. I can't trust anyone, particularly supernatural creatures. With my power, I don't even trust myself.

I'm too damned dangerous.

Psychic, Janice St. John, is no longer human - not since her mother's spell went wrong and a baby demon took up residence in her body. Now Jan's teaching her bloodthirsty inner monster to be good. Employed by a detective agency, she solves mysteries by talking to ghosts. Then she makes one little mistake....

Unusual and impossible to put down

I wasn't really sure about this book choice when I started it, I mean demons? But I was pleasantly surprised to have most of my preconceived ideas proven wrong. The lead female character is fantastic, she's strong and aware and a survivor. The other characters work to create unusual situations and interesting interactions.

The story line is unexpected with twists and left field happenings. Really good to listen to I finished it in one session I just couldn't stop.

The narration is well done, great character voices and accents and the delivery was enjoyable and natural.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Story: I loved the characters. The story was unique and very interesting. It was a little slow moving for me but I still enjoyed it. I look forward to checking out the next book.

Narration: Narration was great. No complaints :)

My Thoughts on Demon Blessed

This was overall a good series starter. The leading lady had an interesting personality. The leading man was likeable. There was a lot of world building and background on everyone given. I had the occasional moments where I thought the detail could have been shortened or the ending wrapped up a bit sooner. There was also some distracting repetitive phrases. But I found myself liking it once the story was done.

The narrator was great. So many distinct voices for so many different characters. British and and young and just fantastic. I will happily be looking for more books narrated by her.

Interesting story, it slow

The story was interesting as was the characters and world, but nothing really happened. It was anticlimactic and slow. It took me awhile to want to finish.

The narration was well done but I had trouble listening to the one characters British accent.

Unique Paranormal Romance!

This was a pretty good adult paranormal romance! The story was interesting and kept me hooked all the way through! I was disappointed that the next book is not available in audio format yet but I went ahead and got it in kindle format. I’m really looking forward to continuing this story.

Narration was pretty good and brought the story to life. I think Sarah’s voice fit well with the main character and portrayed the situations fairly well.

This book has suspense, murder, witches, shifters, ghosts, vampires, magic, romance, steamy moments and much more. The story is very interesting and hard to put down. The conclusion was not a HEA because the series continues but it was not a big cliffhanger either. Things need to be sorted out and solved but not all is in chaos. The characters are well developed and I’m really looking forward to the next book in this intriguing paranormal series.

Demon, Yesss!

What an unexpected surprise. From a well defined main character (Jan St. John) to a descriptive paranormal world surrounding Jan and the people she comes into contact with in her life. This book is much about so much more than what the Publishers Summary describes. There's a little bit of everything in the book. Murder, ghosts, magic, romance, sex and so much more... but somehow it all works.

Sarah Puckett did a good job at being Jan St. John. Her voice fits for the character. Sometimes she did sound too much like she was just reading, but most of the time she sounded very natural and like the character she was meant to be portraying.

One more thing... 3 cheers for The Sexy Beast Lord! 🙌

Great start to a series

Great start to a series. Very entertaining and enjoyable. This is definitley a series worth following.

It's a well written, creative, original and very engaging story with a great cast of interesting characters. When you have this variety of paranormal creatures including Shifters, Vampires, Ghosts, Demons and Witches you know things are going to get very interesting, complicated and twisted.

It has a great balance between the mystery, action, suspense, humor and steamy romance. At times the story is a bit on the darker side with a bit of torture. It is the first in a series so don't expect a HEA.

It did take me a while to really be pulled into the story. Although overall it was great to have all the questions answered and the blanks filled in there was too much explanation/detail in the first part of the book for me. At the same time it was nice having the detailed background on the main character as well as the fantastic world building. About Chapter 18 is when I really got pulled into the story. After that I was completely hooked and was irritated anytime I had to pause the book and I couldn't wait to get back to it. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

Creative and interesting cast of characters. Really liked that Jan is a strong independent woman. Many female characters start out strong then just shrivel up. That doesn't happen here. Love that she considers her demon a baby and is trying to teach him a sense of right and wrong. You cant help but fall for Stafford and root for him from the beginning.

Sarah Puckett does a really good job with the narration. She was the perfect narrator for this story. Pleasant voice that is easy to listen to for long periods of time. Clearly spoken with a nice even pace. Good character voices. She brought the characters, their emotions and the story to life. Hopefully she will be narrating the rest of the series. Very enjoyable.
