Valuable for developing Biblical thought patterns

This is a powerful book for anyone suffering from depression, anxiety, anger, or other negative thought patterns that are influencing your life and relationships.

Lynn Davis approaches various negative thought patterns from the perspective of not only why they are wrong, but what Bible verses or Bible-centered concepts they can be replaced with. All of this is beautifully narrated by Susan Koch.

This is a short, but deep and concept-rich book that will lead you to not only examine your thought life and recognize thought patterns that are defeating you, but will also give you the tools with which to fight those thoughts.

I listened to this book in one sitting, but I will listen to it again on a regular basis to help me overcome unncessary thought clutter and replace it with God's Word.

This was an inexpensive book that will bring great blessings to those who take it seriously. I did, and I'm already reaping rewards.

The message is good

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The narrator is nearly unbearable to listen to; not only is she monotone but speaks SO slowly.

Would you ever listen to anything by Lynn R Davis again?

i'd check the narrator first

How could the performance have been better?

a better narrator

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

the message is good if you can get past the delivery

Any additional comments?

also, it's non returnable. thanks audible, i thought things were returnable if you didn't like it.

as much negative as positive

the good content is great, but for whatever reason the author has decided to add the negative alternative.... so by the time you are done listening yoy Will hear the equal amount of the NEGATIVE option... I definitely don't recommend feeding yourself with ALL of what you SHOULDNT say... ...not for me.

The Narrator made it a struggle to finish.

struggled to finish it even though it was a short book. The narrator voice and expressions was dry, boring, annoying to listen too. The contents were truthful and helpful. The presentation made it difficult to listen to the last ten minutes. just wanted to be DONE.

Ineffective

I did everything suggested with no results whatsoever. It should come as no surprise though since this review will also likely be construed as negative. It’s discouraging to attempt to better oneself only to hit another roadblock.

my perspective of this book by Lynn R Davis

I did not like the narrator's voice. It sounded computerised, but got used to it after a while into the book.

In terms of the book's content, I'd compare it to a pamphlet rather than a book, as I thought it lacked depth.

I agree with the core message, avoiding negativity. Anyone can benefit from avoiding negative self talks.

However, maybe it is suited to some age groups better than others.
