delciate escape

loved this book. narrators were very good. good action good romance. good story line.

Wonderful storytelling

I love to listen to Catherine Cowell because she tells a great story each time, I always feel like I’m right there! I love her books, I look forward to each new book!

Shep is swoon worthy and Thea is sweet and strong!

Sparrow Falls is the best place to run for Thea when she tries to make a Delicate Escape from her crazy, manipulative ex when he tries to ruin her life.
Celina changes her name to Thea Thorne and tries to completely reinvent herself. What she doesn’t expect is to fall for a hot local named Shepard Colson.
Shep has his own past that he struggles with but his adopted family always has his back. He struggles with settling down in one place for too long until Thea comes into his life. He wants to know everything about her especially why it feels like she is hiding and his need to protect her goes into overdrive when he finds out what she is afraid of.
It was so easy to fall for both Shep and Thea. They both have such good hearts, kind souls and an inner strength. It seems their goodness recognizes something special in the other which opens them up so many possibilities to find happiness and love.
I also had the added pleasure of listening to the audio version of this story and the narrators did an amazing job that absolutely added to my enjoyment of this book.

I headed back to Sparrow Falls super quick after winning this book in a giveaway and wanting more Shep in my life.

I love how Catherine Cowles interweaves romance and suspense so effortlessly. You have Thea basically running from her past life, trying so damn hard to start over, to find new people while also keeping to herself and then you get Shep the big broody contractor who can't seem to shake that she's running from things and wants to protect her.

Shep slowly gets close to Thea and she begins to trust him just in time for him to need somewhere to live. He ends up shacking up with her and the two are thrust into a dance of stepping around the other while wanting to step into one another. Thea’s life comes crashing into her and Shep wants nothing but to love and protect her.

It’s wild how Cowles can make a situation scary and intimidating while also being romantic and cate af. I’m here for it. I love it. I want more of it.

I’m obsessed with this book and the narration was spot on. Shep and Thea’s love story might be my favorite currently
