Publisher's summary

Follow Max as he is kidnapped from Earth and placed in multiple life-or-death situations on a new world.

With monsters, magic, swords, and Gods, the world of Nava is anything but normal. How will the once-average young man survive as his newfound title of Lost Lord makes him a target for assassins and terrorist organizations?

Max’s new home is governed by the strong and over-encompassing System that regulates the world. Whether someone is a [Farmer], [Warrior], or a [Grand Magus], classes and abilities allow some to prosper while others fail.

How do non-combative citizens live when monster attacks are a daily occurrence? They rely on people like Max, people who put aside their own safety to end threats before they can grow into true monsters.

But what happens when the monster is a fellow human? An elf? Or even a vile God?

Join Max as he makes friends, learns magic, and takes more than a few lives. Will he prosper and thrive? Or will he fail to adapt to his new home of Nava?

Amazing Book

Very well written story. Brings use of science from earth then applying it to magic in the new world. The MC is average but in a good way. Definitely looking forward to the next volume.

Ok story, mediocre narration

First, while the narrator isn’t the worst I’ve ever heard, I have definitely heard much better. I was able to finish the book without rage-quitting, but I was frequently brought out of the story by incorrect pronunciation of words and just terrible timing/pacing/word emphasis. If your job is to read written words out loud, you would think that the minimum you could do would be to look up words if you don’t know them. One word that stuck out for me was “niche,” which is supposed to be pronounced “neesh,” but the narrator pronounced it “nitch.” Also, there are commonly used phrases in the English language that are said in particular ways with emphasis on particular words. When the emphasis is on the wrong word, or the words are spoken monotone without a pause in the correct place, it is very noticeable.

Enough of the narration. As far as the story goes, if you like isekai litrpgs, you probably won’t hate this story. I doubt you’ll love it, but it was an ok filler while waiting for the next in any of the better series. My complaints are many, but I’ll try to list a few of them with as little spoiler as possible.

1. The MC is so sad that he left his family behind and wants to get back to them. By the end of the book, I know almost nothing about his family. Parents alive or dead? Number of siblings, if any? Any of their names or occupations? I have no idea. They aren’t real people, just a reason for the MC to get morose and angsty every so often.

2. About 80% of the way into the book, the MC develops a messiah complex. Trying not to spoil anything, but the speeches, the condescending talks, the damn near sermons that he starts spewing really turned me off.

3. The writing quality isn’t great, and the lack of a professional editor is apparent. If they had a kindle version available I would have made many notes.

4. Speaking of which, there is no Kindle version! The text is only available in an app called “Yonder” which wants you to pay 30 cents per chapter. This would make the overall price of the book more than some of the best, professionally edited and published books I’ve read. Which is just unacceptable.

I enjoy the story and really enjoyed the funny and interesting characters. I hope the author is working on this book sequel.

Detailed to a fault

It is a really good book. A little predictable in that you kinda know that the male protagonist will end up with an inordinate amount of females around him, including his trainer, friends, and bonds. It needs more a balance with the characters that are a part of the main characters. There were some good twists and turns but some of the story was not needed. It felt more like filler and did not bring anything to the story. The love interest is also predictable and not really original int the race and level of behavior. The actor was good in his performance although he did not do much in voice manipulation.

Int is a good book that has some challenges in predictability and filler content. Just fast forward through those parts and you may enjoy the book.

Competent MC

It's rare to have a litrpg mc that isn't incompetent and a self insert for the author, but this one is a real character that is actually clever.

It's ok.

Narration -ok
World building -ok
Classes -great
Characters -a bit bland

One thing that I disliked, when MC does something that seems simple and everyone will flabbergasted and amazed. I get it, but it constantly happens, it looses it's appeal after the 3rd time.

really good

I really like it. it does not dwell on stuff too long in a attempt to build tension. Good first installment in a series.
