Perfect Poirot Voice

I love the voice that David Suchet uses for Poirot. Looks like he played Poirot in a past BBC series, so that likely accounts for his spot-on depiction. The voice is filled with quirkiness and humor, making this murder mystery feel lighthearted. I usually don't read anything that could be considered remotely "scary" and that includes murder mystery, but I can read Christie. I think it's because her characters are comprised much of caricature, so it helps put distance between the reality of my world and what's going on in "book world." Then I look at the story as a puzzle to be solved rather than an account of deaths to be mourned. Narrator…???

Well the narrator doesn’t admirable job of imitating David Suchet as Poirot, I can’t understand why he get so many of the other characters annoying voices and unintelligible lisps. And frankly he talks so fast, one wonders if he’s having a raise to see if he can get through it faster than any other narrator. I had to slow it down twice to even get the speech to a normal speed… I’ve never heard anyone talk so fast except auctioneers.

this wasn't my favorite agatha christie book but it is still interesting and has twists!

So much fun!

This is an old fashioned ride that is worth every schilling! Some old school notifications aside it’s a terrific read.
