Fun Mystery!!!

I liked the humor, and the characters plus the plot was great!! It held my attention from beginning to end!!

Another great mystery in Sarah Graves Death by Chocolate series

The characters and plot will keep the listener intrigued. There are enough twists and turns to keep listener guessing as to how the murder(a) will be solved. However, I was disappointed in the narration. Suzie Althens is a good narrator but not as good as Susan Boyce who narrated previous books. Much of the Maine accent and colloquialisms are not there with Suzie Althens as with Susan Boyce, and they added added to the story when narrated by Susan Boyce.

Only one problem

I love the characters. I thought the story was very compelling. The only thing that bothered me were all the words ending in LY. In fact, it felt like it was very hard for the narrator, to read all those troublingly words. You see what I did there?
Two women running a business and then pulling all nighters doing detective work was a little bit unrealistic, but it worked OK.
I couldn’t stop listening, so that was a good thing. I would buy another book from this author.😊

Took me a bit to get used to the narrator’s voice. I’ve listened to other Sarah graves books and loved those narrators

More great storylines -

I love Sarah Graves books.
This one had us questioning cons or mischief or missing dead people or . . . . and when I still had over an hour of listening time go I wondered what more could there be other than the ‘tying up all the varying storylines - which was done well.
Then another burst of unforeseen action ensued

The narrator did very well - I wasn’t sure I would like this change in narrators at this time, but was pleasantly pleased.

The only repetitive phrase I eventually tired of was ‘and did I mention . . . . but it did get the info out there. And is Jake having more struggles being brave and is her strength wavering - as Ellie seems to remain strong - because she’s aging or settling in to a comfy life with family and friends that she’s losing some of that ‘go get ‘em’ strength she has had?
Just some thoughts as I continue to enjoy these stories.
Love this continuing series and looking forward to more books!!
And thanks for the recipe in the end - love all the baking hints and helps hinted at throughout.

Excellent story

Had a hard time getting into the new narrated voice. But eventually ok by nearly the end.

This audiobook was a roller coaster ride and I loved every minute of it!!
The new narrator was great!
Can’t wait for the next one!

Voice Actor Changes Disappointing

Voice Actor Changes Disappointing I love every piece written by this author. I've listened to every audible piece she's had available, the fact they changed the voice actors to people without a New England accent was highly disappointing!

Another great book!

I really enjoyed this book. it was just as good as the others. I wish tho they had used the other narrator from the other books. But this one did do a good job.

Graves - lost her edge

I couldn’t get used to the new narrator. Story made no sense, sharks? An addition on the house ? Missing toddler and they take a champagne picnic? Jake is more focused on sleuthing than on finding her grandkid. I’ll keep buying Grave’s novels but it just feel like this was written by a ghost writer.
