But the real threat strikes all too close to home....

Wonderful read!

I found 3 of this series in the freebie section. I wasn’t sure I was going to like the story and I wasn’t familiar with the author. I was sure surprised! I purchased the rest of the series. An enjoyable read.

Interesting mystery

As with all the ones I’ve read so far, the mystery is quite good. Character-wise, I don’t like the Major. He’s a bit of an arse. And I don’t like the way Lucy lets him get away with it. A reviewer said they are having more disagreements and tension as a couple in the next one (I think); therefore, I’ll probably skip that one. A book needs at least a few pleasant people and some pleasant interactions. Between the Major, Penelope the mean-girl manipulator, and all of the parties under suspicion or inquiry, the energy in this episode is a little low.
