Publisher's summary

An unknown assassin has appointed himself judge, jury, and executioner, brutally taking out high-level human targets citywide. It's just the kind of case that will test the resolve of a tough FBI agent like Jaid Marlowe. Especially when her new partner is Adam Raiker, Jaid's former colleague - and ex-lover.

Incredible as always

I cannot imaging where this series can go next! It is wonderful and twisting and loving.

Great series!

Another very good book in this series. It's good to follow the series and enjoyed this one especially as they followed Adam from the forensic agency. Again a very good performance by Bronson Pinchot

Getting to Know the Core Character!

I love that we are getting more of a backstory on Adam Raker! Finally! I really like having him be a more integral character instead of just the mysterious founder of the Mindhunters. Jaid stacks up to Raker nicely and they make a good team. I can't wait to see where this continuing saga goes next!

Finally. Something about Adam.

I continue to enjoy her writing. I couldn’t even figure out until it was revealed who the assassin was.

Superb performance

Bronson Pinchot deserves an award for this one. The story brought together a whole cast of characters, many of whom had already appeared in this series. The way every character was uniquely, recognizably voiced was truly remarkable.

In addition to an entire cast of characters, he also vocally depicted a character with a damaged throat, imbuing that character with a range of emotions that were never obscured by his ravaged voice.

For a narrator, this was a tour de force.

I enjoyed the story, though I don’t buy the ending! It won’t surprise me to find out that there’s yet another twist on the way for these characters.

Bronson actually sounds great!

Bronson Pinchot's narration is usually enough to keep me from listening to a book. In this one, which I downloaded without noticing the narrator (rare), he sounds happy, excited, fun, sad, angry... the full range of emotions rather than just nasal depressive. yay! I love K.B.'s books... just discovered them and already a big fan!

Lots of twists, complicated enough to keep me reading. I am glad my life is easy.

Really good

Really good listen. Good pace through the book, lots of twists and surprises. Could have done without sex scenes but that's only my opinion . So glad Adam's story line had a lot of questions answered. It was a complete book to me unlike the one prior that had too many loose ends and unanswered questions. Now I can go to the next book in the series and enjoy another member of the team being showcased

Favorite so far !

I have recently discovered the mind hunter series and this has been my favorite by far. The depth of the characters was increased throughout and the references to previous books was on point. I can only hope that she continues the series.
