Publisher's Summary

Georgia Rae Winston’s romance has broken up. But that’s the least of her problems.

Georgia and detective Cal Perkins are through. Fine. Maybe, it’s an opportunity to give charmer Hamlet Miller a chance. But there’s no time for romance when Georgia hosts her stepsister and her roommate Quincy during a college chorale tour - and Quincy steals Georgia’s car and disappears.

When her car turns up in a cemetery with a cryptic note lying on the front seat, Georgia decides to take action. As Georgia and her stepsister dig into the mystery, they uncover Quincy’s tumultuous past. A history with a wild rock and roll band. Rumors of an illicit affair. A past that points to a frightening present.

When they discover Quincy’s old music professor is involved, they dig deeper and discover a web of deception they’re determined to untangle, if they can stay alive long enough to bring the truth to light.

Deadly Harmony is the fourth book in the acclaimed Georgia Rae Winston mystery series, following Deadly Harvest, Deadly Holiday, and Deadly Heritage.

I received a free copy of this audio book. That said, I did enjoy it. It was a good story, had me guessing right to the end. Really enjoyed the reading, was taken into the thick of things.

Deadly music

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Being a musically talented person myself this book was definitely up my alley. I absolutely loved this. Music and murder and mystery all in one.
Georgia finds herself looking after her stepsister after her sisters roommate goes missing. As Georgia investigates things just keep adding up without any answers. After her sister goes missing Georgia and Austin and Preston all get really worried. Georgia delves deeper into the mystery and as usual ends up in trouble.
I can’t wait for the next. I want to know how things kick off with Georgia and Hamlet or if Cal gets back her....

Family love and new beginnings

Deadly Harmony is the fourth book in the Georgia Rae Mystery series. Marissa Shrock has written another amazing story. Book four begins with Georgia and Cal’a relationship is over. Ms Shrock writes wonderfully authentic and realistic characters. She weaves a story that touches your emotions. Her books are inspirational and her characters rely on God in a realistic way that is not preachy. Jennifer Jill Araya gives an outstanding performance in the narration of the book. I received an arc code for my honest review. If you enjoy clean romance books, you will enjoy this story.

Pretty good!

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Ok, I fully admit that I did not listen to or read the first 3 in the series. I felt at times that I was missing things but that is on me, not on the author or on the narrator. overall, i liked the story and was able to set aside the things I did not know.

The story had me guessing a lot and I was satisfied with the story itself. I wasn't really able to guess what was going to happen which I really appreciate. I am not a fan of cookie-cutter books and this one was the opposite of cookie-cutter.

I liked the narrator and felt she was good with this book. I haven't listened to her before so I am not sure if this is her usual style but I liked her performance

"The gifts of life, health and friendship."

A young women, one of three staying with Georgia Winston, farmer and investigator, disappears and, of course, Georgia sets out to determine what has happened to her. Still hurting from the ending of the relationship with police officer Cal, her attention is caught by the attractive, and attentive, Hamlet, whilst her step sister joins her in the search for Quincey.

Deadly Harmony, though fourth in the Georgia Rae Winston Mysteries, works well as a stand alone: it was the first of the cozy series read by this reader and at no time did it feel as if something essential was missing from the background. The story itself is intriguing, especially initially, but the characters, though fairly well deve!oped, seemed so immature for their given ages, especially Georgia herself, thinking and acting more like a teenager than a woman of three decades, especially in her consideration of matters romantic. But some were more rkunded, like the real estate selling, muscled and bouncy twenty five years old twins, also step brothers to Georgia, sent to help protect her. Jennifer Jill Araya is a fine choice as narrator, her voice seeming to capture the persona!ugh of the main protagonist as she tells the story, first person, from her perspective. Ms.Araya reads with expression and empathy for the characters, and makes a very good attempt to give appropriate voice to each one. A good performance even if her male voices do not always convince.

My thanks to the rights holder of Deadly Harmony who, at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary copy via Audiobook Boom. Most enjoyable, amusing and, yes, rather silly. But quite compulsive reading especially earlier in the story. Acceptable for all ages from teens upwards, it includes a gentle Christian bias.

Hits all the right notes

This is the first book by this author that I have listened to but I really enjoyed and don't think it will be my last. It was a very unusual and interesting mystery, which kept twisting on you just when you thought you knew what it was all about. The characters were like able and I might just be going back to the beginning to learn more about them, especially the fun and quirky family dynamics. When it first started I did think it might not have been my sort of thing because of the religious aspects but that wasn't the case the author wrote so well that you knew it was a church group but didn't make you sit through long sermons or praying. All in all a fun cosy mystery that will keep you guessing and laughing.
When Georgia Rae stepsister's choir group goes on tour,, she volunteers to host three of the teenage girls at her farm. But one of the girls goes missing during the night taking Georgia's car. When the car is found outside the local cemetery fears rise for her safety. Should the police be treating it as a runaway, abduction or trafficking case? The note left behind said she was fine and not to worry but that is exactly what Georgia and her step sister do. So they start there own investigation into the girls boyfriend, classmates and teachers to get to the bottom of the disappearance. Then a body is found and the case gets really complicated. Can the pair find the girl before it is to late?
I have heard this author narrate a number of books (by different authors) and think she has done an excellent job every time, as she puts a lot of effort into bringing the characters to life.
