GREAT SUSPENSEFUL MYSTERY!

Very interesting book/story by Sue Hinkin. Really enjoyed it!! From the streets of L.A. to the dark halls of Mexico, this is full of suspense and intrigue, as the main character, Lucy Vega, struggles to find out what happened to her uncle after he was killed during a big storm. Nothing is as it seems, and it's quite a journey. I thought it was well written and well narrated, I'd definitely recommend it, and would definitely read/listen to more from her and from narrator Sandra Murphy. Great job!

Great Story, Great Narration!

Sue Hinkin is a new author to me. She wrote a great romantic suspense book with Deadly Focus. I loved the character development, the imagery, the suspense, and the action. The narrator, Sandra Murphy, is very talented. I love it when a narrator is able to perform various characters of different genders and ages and ethnicity. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I would definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Decent Mystery

I’d say this was a pretty good book. In my opinion the story started out a little slow, it seemed to crawl along for a while and I had a hard time staying engaged because I like fast paced, high action mysteries. I know it was a longer book and that the author was just building in a lot of background for the story which is a good thing but I’m the kind of person that needs a fast paced story in order to hold my attention. I thought the main female character; Lucy was a bit annoying at times. In the beginning I think she was supposed to come off as a strong take charge kind of person but the things she said and did came off differently to me.
The book does pick up once Lucy discovers that her uncle’s accident probably wasn’t an accident at all. She takes off to Mexico and is determined to find out why her Uncle was a target. Given what happened to her family when she was younger it didn’t surprise me that she had a whole lot of drive and motivation to solve the mystery.
This is the first book I’ve listened to by this author and narrator. The narration was good. It was pretty smooth and there were no distracting things that the narrator did to take away from the story so in my opinion that’s really good. I’m not sure if I’ll continue to follow this series but just because it wasn’t exactly my cup of tea doesn’t mean it won’t be yours. I’m giving this book a 4 star review because I know people who like to listen to slow building mysteries like this one. The story was good and it had a lot of things going on that laid the foundation for why Lucy’s uncle was killed but for some reason it just wasn’t my kind of story, but it might by yours!

Rough and raunchy

Too much swearing for my taste.

Sandra Murphy did a good job narrating.

Good Thriller

How far would one go or travel to find the killer of your uncle. This was a gripping mystery and first I have read by author. The narration was excellent of where she went, added to this good thriller. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Beautiful Detective

A beautiful plot for an interesting book.
The camouflage was described as excellent and so was the feeling of tension.
