Dead Heat

I loved that this series ended with Paige & Cole. I kinda hoped it would be Mo’s bodyguard but you never know he might get his book yet.

I love that Paige has all these brothers and Cole was the first to not be scared off by them or by Paige, I say that because she is a tomboy in a lot of ways and a total girly girl in others.

I think I loved that Cole was always there for Paige even when she thought it was all for a show for him it never was.

Again this town is fantastic. I love the blue hairs. I love the friendship the 3 girls have.

It's just a sweet romance with a kick.

And again Eric G. Dove kills this narration; he totally brings this whole series to life. Loved it.

Another Heart Pounding Hit

What a neat series! My head wanted to spin when I saw these last two book's in the coming soon list. I jumped on them both and put them in my wish list. What a great way to end this particular story by using the main character's of Page and Cole in this episode. I have already listen to them multiple times. I will now be requesting the "Bluegrass Brother's" series. Which continues with Page's 5 brother's. Let's hope Audible will be able to get them for us.

AWESOME SERIES

If you could sum up Dead Heat in three words, what would they be?

Riveting. Unexpected. Exciting.

Any additional comments?

This whole series follows wonderfully, never a dull moment, and very unexpected! Can't wait to read more!

A Decent Finale

Dead Heat was actually a pretty decent finale of the storyline setup in the first two books. The author did a good job of getting the story to focus on Paige while still maintaining a connection to Kenna and Danielle. My biggest issue with the book is just how much of a total spaz Paige was in the book when it came to Cole. I didn’t feel like it was within the character that was developed in the first two books.

Goodness does this book start to drag and drag hard in the middle of the book. The books starts right where book two ended and then it hits a very huge yield sign and just kind of trudges along. Not only does the story trudge on but so does any progress in the relationship between Cole and Paige. The author then decides to do a quick wrap up with one heck of an action scene and then does a couple of chapters to wrap up the Cole and Paige issues.

I also liked getting to know Paige’s family a little more and her brothers’ stories will make a great book series.

I’m glad the narrator stayed the same throughout the book it really helped to get me back in the story after a long break from the first two books.

The male voice

The book is from a female view, it’s hard to listen to a male read the book. Also many of the female voices sound the same. As for the southern accents they were very bad. And it was supposed to be in the south.
Love Kathleen Brooks books but would not get another audible.

Great ending to a really good series

Bluegrass Series is a well-written series of three books. Must be read in order to really make sense. Dead Heat has just the right mix of suspense, romance, and friendship of small town Southern living.

good listen

the story continues right where the last book leaves off. I can feel Paiges reluctance comes from. I like the way she struggles with her emotions and the narrator foes an amazing job bringing those feelings to you. Second time listening. I love Kathleen Brooks stories and buy both book and Whysper Synk
