Another good one
I am committed to this series. I love the setting and atmosphere. The writer does a fantastic job of painting images while the narrator does an excellent job of placing the reader in the story. We have been listening to Kelly's adventures since the first book and cannot wait to start the next one!

Dead End
I am really enjoying the DI Kelly Porter series and look forward to the next installment. I do want more time spent on the characters themselves. Dead End was a good story but felt a little rushed at the end with everything coming together very quickly and ending almost abruptly with little to no mention of big story lines going on for the main characters. I understand that this is motivation to keep reading or listening which of course I will ! I am enjoying the narration very much as well.

I prefer mysteries .....
to politics and this story just was not on...more like a platform with a vague attempt at couching a mystery into it...quite disappointing. The performance was grand despite the story or lack thereof.

Show don’t tell
It’s such a shame that the author keeps doing all the thinking for the reader by constantly explaining what’s going on. We get it, we don’t need constant reminders by the characters. Just tell the story. It’s such a shame because the story is decent and the characters aren’t too bad. A little two dimensional but interesting enough

This series is not for me
I'm giving it a 1 star instead of a dnf because I actually read 47 chapters before I started skipping. I did want to know the conclusion but that's about it. Kelly Porter is not someone I care about and this book was more about people's lives and secrets than the investigation and I didn't care about anyone, maybe Zach but I will not be reading any more books from this series
