Publisher's Summary

The Arizona Vengeance is killing it on the ice. But one player can’t seem to keep his eye on the puck - all thanks to the woman he just married to save her life.

“Find your next hockey hero in Sawyer Bennett’s Arizona Vengeance series.” (New York Times best-selling author Jill Shalvis)

My name is Dax Monahan, and hockey is my passion. And if you want to succeed in this sport you have to bust your ass 24/7. I’ve never had a hard time focusing on my career, but when my past comes knocking, no amount of training can prepare me for what lies on the other side of the door.

Regan Miles was always like a sister to me. When a shared tragedy brings us face to face after several years, I’m shocked to see just how much she’s changed. Gone is the shy, awkward little girl that always used to chase me and her brother around. Instead, I’m faced with a gorgeous woman who makes it damn hard to concentrate on anything but her.

Turns out, she’s in trouble, and the only way out is to get married.

I surprise myself when I tell her to marry me. Order her, actually. And, most shocking of all, she doesn’t even hesitate before saying yes.

So it’s settled. We’re getting hitched, and she’s moving to Arizona with me. All platonic, of course.

The catch?

I never knew I’d fall so hard for my best friend’s little sister.

In Sickness and In Health

Dax is a sexy best friend's little sister/marriage of convenience romance. The story is book 4 in the series and runs along the same timeline as the previous book, Legend, but can be read/listened to as a stand alone. For maximum enjoyment though, I definitely recommend them since previous characters appear throughout the series.

I really enjoyed the narration by Aiden Snow and Virginia Rose. Rose gave an emotional performance as Regan and really captured her vulnerability and pain. Snow's deep voice was perfect for Dax, but I did find it was too gruff for the female characters (which is understandable). There wasn't a ton of variation in his other characters as well, so there were a few times I wasn't sure which character was speaking at first.

Dax and Regan had amazing chemistry and I really loved the progression of their friendship to more. They have known each other their whole lives and I think that added a sweetness to their connection that I don't always feel. Yes, there is push and pull between them as the lines get blurred, but I liked that there wasn't any unnecessary drama between them (or if there was, it was resolved quickly). I think what made this a less engaging listen for me, was that it felt like this book spent just as much time on Dax and Regan as it did setting up the next books in the series. Don't get me wrong - I can't wait to read/listen to Tacker (I just want to hug this man so much!!) and Dominik's (YUM with a capital Y!) stories, but I felt like it took away too much of the spotlight from Dax and Regan. I did love seeing all the previous couples (Erik and Blue!) and characters as well as getting to know Willow, Dax's sister and the likely love interest of team owner Dominik Carlson. An enjoyable listen overall and I'm excited to continue on with the series!

Falling hard for the right one

Another Vengeance player falls hard, and falls for all the right reasons. Lance Miles was Dax Monahan's best friend and older brother to Regan. When circumstances require Dax to step in and help Regan out, he really steps up to the occasion. He not only finds a way to take care of Regan, but also finds love. However, their journey together includes big bumps and they learn to work out issues together. There's wit, humor, love, compassion, romance, and some hotness in Dax's story! Enjoy!

In this Audible copy, there's a narrator for Dax and Regan's POV. Aiden's deep voice contributes to the sexy nature of Dax and Virginia's voice contributes to the sweet and innocent nature of Regan. Both of them did a great job!

I love Dax's sister Willow and her impact to the story. Hopefully there will be more of her and Dominik. Also, there's more of the other Vengeance players, like Erik, Legend, and Bishop.

At the end of Dax's story is the beginnings of Tacker's story!! I can't wait!

Awesome Story & Narration🎧Loving & Heartfelt!

Sawyer Bennett does it again, she delivers another amazing novel in her Arizona Vengeance series. I am loving this series and the wonderful characters and their storylines. It is great to see another player fall hard for a woman. This is Dax Monahan and Regan Miles’ story, the two have known each other for years. Dax was best friends with her older brother Lance. Lance is murdered and Dax goes to see her, she tells him everything Lance did for her. Then Dax takes it upon himself to do the same, he will take care of her including marrying to save her life. Marriage in name only was the plan but he soon finds out Regan is not the little girl he remembers and that plan soon goes out the window. I loved how everything plays out in this book, there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, a bit of angst, some heartfelt moments and the start of a great romance. It is also great to catch up with other members of the team. Sawyer Bennett, thank you for another awesome story and for bringing awareness to PNH.

Aiden Snow and Virginia Rose are fantastic narrators and voice artists. They did an amazing job portraying the characters and bringing them to life, giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they captured the characters emotions and projected into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank your for this great listen🎧

Another of this hockey team find true love

This is a friends to lovers with some interesting twists and a lot going on. There is a tragedy that brings them together, a very plausible sub plot involving an overpriced life saving drug and a difficult insurance situation, an impromptu marriage that oddly isn’t investigated, more drama with the depressed, survivor guilty teammate Tracker, the mention of previous storylines, and a potential story brewing between a sister and the team’s owner. This would be great as a Romance Package choice, definitely moves the series narrative along, but is also worth listening as a stand-alone. Narration is good but the ending could have been a little fuller. There are more books to come though so boulder to have more of this couple, especially given Reagan’s health condition and her friendship with Dax’s sister.

Dax is swoony!! Loved this book!!!

Dax is Book 4 in the Arizona Vengeance series and focuses on Dax who finds himself looking after one of his best friend's (who recently passed) little sister, and then when he finds out she is very sick, finds himself marrying her to help further protect her. Despite the unconventional start to their relationship, Dax and Regan have some intense chemistry and I couldn't help but find myself hoping they would find themselves a true and real happily ever after. This book also gives glimpses into some of the other players on the team that have been highlighted and I personally have grown to love in the other books in the series. Sawyer Bennett definitely knows her hockey men and does these stories up right!!!

Aiden Snow and Virginia Rose did a wonderful job with narrating this story as Dax and Regan. The story flowed well and they were very easy to listen to. I found this book very highly enjoyable and would give it ALL THE STARS!!!

I was so glad when I was able to have this book on audible and could just sit back and enjoy the story and have it play out in my mind like a movie. Sawyer always gives me a book that I cant keep from reading....but in this case I was pushing myself to listen to one more chapter.

beautiful friends to lovers story

Dax is devastated by his best friend's unexpected death and intends to keep his vow to take care of his sister. Regan is trying to recover from the loss of her brother, the only family that she had. Now she has to deal with his loss as well as her life threatening disease. How will she pay for the super expensive medication without her brother's support? When she finally confides to Dax about her condition, he suggests that they get married so that she could be added to his insurance. Can these two continue their platonic relationship as they get to know each other as adults? One thing's for sure, they're not kids anymore!
Beautiful story with all the feels!

Great story and narrators

Dax was the fourth book in the Arizona Vengeance series by Sawyer Bennett and is a great best friend’s little sister/ friends to lovers sports romance.

I love a good best friend's little sister story and add in the sports romance aspect and I'm sold!

I have happy to see that this story had all the elements of what I enjoy about Sawyer Bennett's books - engaging plot, on point banter, just the right amount of angst and of course super duper hawt sexy times. Dax and Regan's story was emotional and from them having known each other for years and growing up together I have very much invested in seeing what happens when the friendship line blurs and becomes so much more.

The narrators Aiden Snow and Virginia Rose were outstanding. I do love confident voices with good pacing in their delivery

This a great addition to the series and I cannot wait to listen to the next book in the series to get my next Arizona Vengeance fix!

Dax’s voice is EVERYTHING!

Falling for your brothers best friend. Never a good idea but the heart wants what the heart wants right?!

As usual Sawyer Bennett wrote the most swoon worthy story that will give you all the feels! This was only enhanced by the narrators. Their voices were perfect for these characters. Regan and Dax were the perfect match, the chemistry was there 100%

This book was super tropey which I loved! Dax is a hockey player, brothers best friend and there’s an Arranged marriage! Regan has a rare disease which is extremely expensive to treat and Dax being the friendly guy that he is comes up with the perfect plan.

When I closed my eyes I could immediately envision Dax and Regan because of how well the narration flowed with the story.

As the two grow closer together things get heated and feelings are so revealed. The main conflict in the book was Regan’s illness and it’s affect on her.

This was an easy summer read that I’ll definitely pick up again. The narrator for Dax is reason enough to come back!

Another hockey hunk lost to love

The stories and the characters in this series just keep getting better and better. Not too much ice action in Dax, but plenty of behind the scenes moments with the team, and the management. A wonderful friends to lovers story with some truly heartfelt moments, wonderful writing and lovely characters. Dax is confident and sexy with just the right amount of alpha, Regan is independent and strong willed, but she’s not stupid, she knows when to accept help, and let’s face it, she needs all the help she can get. Luckily Dax is in a position to help, after all she is family. A little drama, a lot of romance and another hockey hunk leaves singledom. Aiden Snow and Virginia Rose (both of whom I love), narrated Dax and a Regan to perfection.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved this book. DAX and Reagan were a great couple with loads of humour and endless chemistry. DAX was incredibly supportive regarding Reagan’s illness and loved her unconditionally throughout it. Another great book by Sawyer Bennett. Aidan Snow and Virginia Rose were awesome reading the characters, their voices bought the characters to life for me. ❤️
