Easy to understand

The Dash Diet was aimed specifically at those with high blood pressure, but has wide-ranging health benefits for many others wishing to lose weight or attempt preventing diabetes. Really it is a great book for those need a diet to lose weight and prevent heart disease. I highly recommend this guide.

This book changed my life!

This is a wonderful book. I feel great. I have a way to go but this book has taught me how to eat foods that will help with the weight lost. I never feel hungry. And my blood pressure is great!

I am pleased with this diet, which has been formulated especially for people with high blood pressure. The recipes are excellent, the information contained in the book is helpful, and most importantly, my blood pressure is now under control.

Great Diet Audio book

Easy to follow. My husband and I have been using this book for 3 weeks and it works. Not a fad just a sensible eating plan. Great recipes.

Helpful Guide

Good book with great ideas. This is the *recommended book of the DASH diet groups for beginners. It's a bit of a dry listen, but all the important information is in there and NO pictures to help illustrate.

Excellent

This diet is easy to accomplish as it contains many ready-to-eat items from the grocery store. It keeps your sugar even which really made me feel so much better; I felt calm and steady--no roller coaster ups and down or big hunger pangs. This is a good diet for slow weight loss or maintenance.

Helpful

Quick weight loss the first two weeks, but the pounds are still coming off slowly but surely as the weeks go by! It's more a lifestyle and less a diet as I continue. Marla Heller has a weight loss group on facebook that follows this book and gives great support!

Diet

I lost about a pound and a half a week with this diet book and have felt improvements with my depression. The diet is an adjustment, but it feels more flexible than others. My girlfriend wanted me to add that she's been losing about a pound per week since we started.

So practical and easy to do

This book has changed our lives.The plan as she explains it is easy to understand. I haven’t begun the diet but many of the principles are similar to Weight Watchers so I have confidence that it should work. I am vegetarian (I also eat fish) so I’m glad they included vegetarian options. I look forward to giving this a try although I’m not excited about 2 weeks without fruit!

Just Life Changing

This might be the most studied diet ever, and it is probable one of the most adhered to diets by nurses and medical practitioners, so why isn't it the GOLD standard? Perhaps it is. I have followed it now for several months with stellar results that the more I eat to lower my blood pressure, the more all other aspects of my diet come into alignment.

Five stars

A good friend recommended this book so we could lose weight together. I've been following the meals plans in the book for almost 8 months. I started exercising in March, and now I am more consistent. I've lost almost 20 pounds! I went to the doctor today for my blood pressure checkup. I no longer have to take medication! I always assumed I would have high blood pressure for life because of family history. I just turned 50 so this is for any age!

Better

hate reading, but this book is laid out so you can use it in whatever way you want. It has recipes in one section, or example meal plans in another. I skipped a lot of the actual reading, and used it for all the resources it contained, This helped save me time, so I could get down to business. After the first week I was down 8 lbs. I look forward to continuing my journey. Btw the index is your friend.
