Thoroughly enjoyed

I thoroughly enjoyed Dark of Night as much as I enjoyed the first in the series, At First Light. Timothy Campbell does a great job with the narration. Can’t wait for the next in the series.

Another Romp Through Chicago

Another romp through Chicago with Dr Wilding. Ms Nickless is a new to me author and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Evan. I’ll be adding her other novels to my TBR list. Let’s dive into book three!

Another good one, but...

Make no mistake, I enjoyed this book very much. However to me there was something missing as compared to the first in the series. Still, I recommend this book, it is still a unique and enjoyable read.

Great Series

Loved this one as much Book 1 of the series. Cannot wait for the next!

Unusual series, fascinating tale

I am a big fan of this fledgling series, particularly because of the characters and the interesting stories the author chooses to spin.

Tim Campbell does an excellent job with voices and accents. Can’t wait for the next one.

Waiting for the next book to drop in November. This award winning author has brought another intriguing story with Evan Wilding in the middle of international conflict and art/ history theft and murder. Evan Wilding is a remarkable character for an intellectual man so intertwined in so many convoluted and difficult cases. His remarkable skill is on the level of Sherlock. The story concerns art theft and the use of international intrigue to give depth to the story. Looking a the historical knowledge from the dead sea scrolls, to the great looted art work from many historical sites through out the world. The ties between these thefts and the criminal underworld of art theft is a sad part of history. Nickless does a great job of adding this element of the real world to her story. The reader would not be disappointed in the least.

Love this series

Can’t wait for more. I enjoy the characters and have to binge until finished every time. Even if I stay up all night ugh…

Interesting Insight into Wilding, Story Ok

This is the second book in the Evan Wilding series. Dr. Wilding and Detective Bisset investigate the death of a colleague of Evan’s. This leads to an investigation into the antiques trade. I didn’t like the story as much as the first book, lots of characters on different tangents and I really didn’t care for the ending. What I did like was the additional insight into Evan and how he as a dwarf navigates the world. His thoughts are highlights of the book, and I love his sense of humor. He even has a girlfriend in this book. We don’t hear much of Addie in this book. I’m more interested in finding out out whether the two of them will admit their feelings for one another. Hopefully that will be addressed in the next book. Narrator Tim Campbell is excellent and perfectly captures Evan’s wit in the audiobook.
