Publisher's summary

He’s a bad boy in danger. The same man I should stay miles away from.

I’ve got no intention of falling in love with Bastian. But he’s taking my heart, piece by piece, every single day. I want to trust him. I want to tell him how I feel. But there’s no way our reality will allow that.

Bastian is wild. I know because I work for his older brother. Little did I know that I would be dragged into his life. But then he showed up at my doorstep with a knife wound. My jaw dropped to the floor. My heart began to palpitate. And I only had one choice: to take him in.

Something tells me that he’s out to harm me. If I can’t trust him with my heart, can I at least trust him with my life?

Excellent Story & Narration🎧 Riveting & Emotional!

In her latest novel in the Platinum Security series, Kelly Myers delivers a romantic suspense that will keep you hooked until the very end. Each book in the series stands on its own, featuring different lead characters, although some characters cross over into each other’s books and seeing them again is like seeing an old friend. This fourth book is Harlow Vaughn and Sebastian “Bastian” Flynn’s story and what a story it is. Harlow is the computer guru at Platinum Security, and Bastian is Ryker’s brother, who came to town for his brother’s wedding, though he did not allow himself to be seen. Bastian is trouble and is in trouble, owing some bad people money. He competes in underground fighting rings, trying to make some fast cash to come up with the money he owes, but the opponent he beat was a sore loser. Bastian went to Platinum Security but only made it to the front door before they jumped him. Harlow came to his rescue, and there was an instant attraction, though she knows she was always attracted to men like her father, who was currently serving time in prison. There is never a dull moment in this book, the writing, plotting and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. I was not a fan of Bastian at first, but he redeems himself. The man had issues and struggled with his inner demons and self worth. Harlow, smart with a good head on her shoulders, had a weak spot for the bad boys. This romantic suspense has plenty of drama, angst, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance.

🎧📚🎧For the narration, Jamie Kersey and Kenneth Elliott continue to do an excellent job of bringing the characters to life. The actors have a clear understanding of the characters they are portraying and give each character a voice that is realistic and appropriate. Elliott nailed it as Bastian, grasping every side of his personality, and Kersey did the same as Harlow. They both performed all the secondary roles equally well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These talented voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Reformed Bad Boy

You don’t need to read/listen to the other stories I this series, but you’ll want to. All the stories are interconnected and lead up to the anticipated HEA due to the love of a good woman. It’s not exactly love at first sight but the journey is well worth it.

Everyone loves a strong female…Go Harlow!!

I enjoyed this suspenseful tale! I liked the way the story was told that kept me wondering what would Bastain do next. He is one Wild Bad Man! I enjoyed him so much! Harlow is a baddie in her own right! She is wicked with a computer! Their realization that they needed each other for more than just a romp is wonderful to watch! She is so commanding towards him it cracked me up!

I have not read others in the series and this one was easy to follow along with. It does male me think I need to grab Jax, Griff and Ryker’s stories though. I fid listen to this on audio. Kenneth Elliott and Jamie Kersey did a good job narrating.
