Publisher's summary

Before it’s too late....

Holly and her crew are on a quest to uncover the locations of the medi-pods following the clues Roman left behind, hoping to find at least one that hasn’t been destroyed before the government catches on. The only problem is, someone already has. Strange UACs are popping up all over, and in order to take them out, the crew risks exposing itself. When they do, what they find is chilling.

A secret government group has a dark purpose. Holly and her friends have no choice but to launch an all-out war to set things right. But some factors have already been put in motion, and undoing them might take too much time and come at too high a cost.

A happy little find!

I had never heard of Holly Danger, but I saw the book and took a shot. I didn't know it was book 4 in a series, and that is ok. I got to know the characters pretty quickly, and it seemed like this book transitioned right from the last one. (I'll have to get the first 3 to see if what I suspect is true.

Anyway, the book is fast paced and full of surprises. I particularly liked Daze. The book centers on the search for a cure, and how the team is put upon by a ?black ops team. One of those covert operative type bad guys. The interplay between the teams is exciting and fun. I really wish I had read the prior books, as it feels like there are some plot points that are revealed after having been building for some time. Emma Wilder is great, and she takes you right into the action. 5 Stars all around.

Exciting, Excellent Story

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. As in the three previous books, Danger's Cure is an exceptional story. In each book the reader/listener gets to know a little bit more about this family and their skills. In this futuristic book the team learns more about the past and more about who the real enemy is. This book also gives you a little more insight into Case. I love a strong woman and Holly fits that bill perfectly. The author is amazing in how she tells her story with such a creative and intricate imagination. Once I started this book, I couldn't stop listening. So looking forward to the next in this series. Very exciting, great read. The narrator does an excellent job with this series.

4th exciting installment in Holly Danger series!

“They do not know what lies beneath their very noses.”

Danger’s Cure is the fourth exciting installment in Amanda Carlson’s addictive dystopian sci-fi fantasy series. This series is just getting better and better. This tale seamlessly picks up right where the previous book, Danger’s Race, left off. The team is back together and working closely in tandem in a desperate race to find at least one working medi-pod that the government has not destroyed. The medi-pod is needed to save the seekers infected with plush. Time is running out. The stakes have never been higher while danger lurks at every turn.

Holly continues to rock as a take-no-prisoner, kick-ass character. She’s strong, capable and has an Achilles heel in that she is intensely loyal to and caring for those close to her and for humanity. Much is reluctantly disclosed about Case’s mysterious past in this segment. He’s become an integral part of the team even though Holly claims that he still hasn’t earned her trust. I can understand her previous wariness – but, he’s more than proved himself in my eyes. Daze steals the show. He’s growing up with each story in the midst of the team, which is just a big-hearted, somewhat dysfunctional family. There’s not a romantic element in this series so far - but, I’m holding out hope that there may be one in the cards soon!

Following please find a few lines that stood out for me from Danger’s Cure:

“I’m not sure I can handle an inanimate polymer egg cracking jokes all the time.”
---
I was so caught up in the video that I didn’t hear the door to the cleaning stall open. The first things I noticed were footsteps coming toward me.
Case was naked from the waist up.
As he walked, he rubbed his hair with a small cloth to help along the drying process. I sputtered as I sat up, swinging my feet to the cool floor, refusing to flinch as my bare feet came in contact with the ground. “Where are your clothes?” I asked.
---
We were witnessing life as it was sixty-plus years ago, right before most of these people perished. It was a disturbing thought.
I couldn’t look away.

I listened to the audio edition of Danger’s Cure narrated by the fantastic Emma Wilder. Her voice is crystal clear and perfectly paced. Both her female and male voices are distinct, consistent and sound genuine. She exudes all the expected emotions. The end product is polished and well done.

This is a series that should be read in order as Amanda doesn't waste any time recapping previous events and much has transpired already. I can’t imagine jumping into this series mid-way as each book has been fast-paced, wall-to-wall action and each book’s plot has built upon prior events. This is a fantastic series with extraordinary characterizations. You won’t regret starting from the beginning.

This storyline grabs you from the first and doesn’t let go until the very end with plenty of unexpected twists and turns along the way. If you enjoy well-written, futuristic apocalyptic fiction that will keep you on the edge of your seat with a few laughs along the way, this series perfectly fits the bill! The previous installments all had satisfying wrap-ups. Breaking precedence, Danger’s Cure ends with a cliffhanger. Thankfully, Danger’s Hunt is already available. I’m really enjoying this series and can’t wait to see what unfolds in book #5, Danger’s Hunt!

The plot thickens & the fight to survive, harder

Danger's Cure: Holly Danger, Book 4

By: Amanda Carlson Narrated by: Emma Wilder

The adventure just keeps getting bigger and better with Holly! I love this series, Holly, Daze, Case & the entire “Bender’s Crew.” The plot gets thicker and the fight to survive gets harder with each book; but that just makes for more action and suspense. I HAVE to know what becomes of Holly and Case. I’ve felt they would make a great couple since they met and I just can’t wait to see if they do; if he survives that is. The sample of book 5 already has my interest and I’m ready to dive in to it next.

The narrator does a great job too. This is easily a 5 Boundless Star book!

Transition title in the series

Holly and her crew are running a race against the clock. They need to locate a working medi-pod to treat Mary before it’s too late for her, and maybe too late for all of them.

This series is getting more and more interesting, as the plot thickens and the story becomes more intricate. Things are not what they seemed at first, and probably the world, as they knew it, will soon change. In this book we get to know better Holly’s crew, and for the first time, for me, the secondary characters appear to be more differentiated, more polished.

The book kept my attention thanks to the multiple twists and also due to the fact that we’re starting to know a bit more about Case and his previous life. A lot of things happen in this book, but there is not a real conclusion. This is a transition book, and I believe we are bound for great surprises in the next book, which I’m impatient to get my hands on.

Emma Wilder did, as always, a wonderful job bringing Holly to life. At the same time, her voice range is quite ample, so that following dialogs is a no-brainer. Her interpretations are exquisite, and she is perfect at transmitting Holly’s bad-ass attitude.

I am so looking forward to the next book. I absolutely love post-apocalyptic books like these ones, in which the decadent and dark atmosphere is almost palpable.

I received a copy of this book in audio format from the author in exchange for an honest review.

The Holly Danger we’ve been waiting for

Another outstanding book/story featuring Bender’s Crew of outcasts, geeks and do-gooders including Holly Danger. The militia members ran for safety, but they took Case as a captive. Holly may not want to admit it, but she has feelings for the mystery man and now her enemies have made her mad, attacked her friends and took a person she cares about. That may unleash the Holly Danger they never want to see. Can’t wait for the next book!

Excellent

This is my favourite in the series so far! The crew are starting to get answers and make progress! Holly is still in major denial over Case though! Speaking of whom, I'm glad he finally opened up to the group and shared his past & knowledge. Can't wait for the next book!!!

This series just gets better and better!

As I’ve always said when it comes to this series/author/narrator, I love it/her/her. This series just gets better and better, and I can't wait to find out what's going to happen in book 5. I’m curious to see if Holly and Case ever end up in a romantic relationship. I know that’s stereotypical of lead female and male characters, but I think they’d make a great power couple. I also like seeing how Maisie is learning from the others. As usual, Amanda Carlson and with some help from Emma Wilder (narrator) these ladies do an amazing job bringing these characters to life.
