I believe this is a first for me by this author.

Overall I enjoyed the tale, the characters and the overall flow of everything.
I found that the two MC seemed to mess well together and I'd actually like to read/listen to more of them. They both bring skills that I think would make a great series. ( if they don't already have one?)
My one complaint is while we got a fair amount of back story about most all the characters, we didn't get any about Aiden. For me it left a hole in the tale.

Michael Dean is one of my favorite narrators and once again he did a wonderful job bringing this to life

Enjoyed

Michael Dean - as always - a fantastic narrator. I loved the two main characters. Loved almost all of the supporting characters. The reason I went with a 4 instead of a 5 is that I felt like the story pacing was a bit awkward starting around the half-way mark. And then with the mystery part of it, it was boom boom boom very fast without a lot of reflection by the main characters prior to the boom boom boom. If there’s a book 2 - I’ll definitely purchase!

This started out as a 5 overall
