Publisher's summary

Agent Cooper Dayton never thought anything could be harder than solving murders. Until he had to plan a wedding.

After taking down an old adversary, Agent Cooper Dayton of the Bureau of Special Investigations has earned a break. Not that planning a wedding to his sexy shifter partner, Oliver Park, is necessarily stress-free, but it's better than worrying about the ominous warning, delivered months ago, that Cooper's life is in danger.

When he's dragged to an event by his family, Cooper braces for an awkward evening but instead finds himself in the middle of an ugly feud between Park's ex and a rebel pack leader. What was supposed to be a quick outing turns into a full-blown murder investigation after the pack leader ends up dead, Park's ex goes missing, and Cooper and Park are sent a series of disturbing wedding gifts that are somehow connected to it all.

The list of potential suspects is long, and with the bodies piling up, Cooper must turn to the one person he trusts the least: the villain he's already put behind bars once and who has nothing to lose by lying and everything to gain if Cooper is out of the picture - for good.

Contains mature themes.

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

Can’t wait for the next

I truly love reading and listening to the audio of this series; Erik has done a phenomenal job with his narrations he seems to be just enthralled with the stories, that to me when I hear him I can clearly picture these characters in my head. Charlie I thank you for continuing with the wolf series they have become one of my all time favorites and can’t wait to see where Oliver and Cooper end up next. Will he take up the mantel and be the moon or remain a neutral hero within the trust I just can’t wait to find out.

Worth it

Loved this entire series, recommend to anyone looking to shake up the normal reading pattern.

I was almost driven away by negative reviews of the narrator but I’m so glad I ignored them. In fact, I am now convinced I should just power through such neg vibes and try other stories with narrators I’m unsure about.

In this case, the narrator gave me a great basis to imagine each of Adhara’s characters and I enjoyed listening.

Still going strong!

There comes a book in so many series where you realize the content has become stale. The characters have stopped developing, and the plot twists no longer surprise you. This is NOT that book!

Cooper and Oliver continue to grow as people, and I really appreciate the way Adhara doesn't manufacture drama just to create conflict. As they grow and change, new challenges arise, but each one is believable, and is based on the initial character outlines and backstories we were introduced to in the first few books. I was fully expecting the Freedman plot to be wrapped up with this installment, and while it sort of is, we discover that there is more going on behind the scenes than the characters first new, setting up yet another installment in the next book! Yay!

To be honest, in general I am way, way over and done with werewolf books, as so many stories involving them are trite and formulaic. This series unfolds a more and more complex world with each new chapter, and as much as I have been eagerly looking forward to this novel, I am now eagerly awaiting the next one!

If you haven't been reading this series from the beginning, "Wolf At the Door", definitely start there. These books are not stand-alones. Seriously, go start from the beginning! These stories have humor, thoughtful character development, good world building, and just enough mystery/thriller spice to make them page-turners.

if you've been reading from the beginning, definitely spend the credit for this one! There are, unfortunately, a few editing errors, but while they are a little crazy-making, the content of the story is so absorbing that they won't distract from your reading pleasure.

Continuing the Love...

I continue to love this series. Dayton and Park are probably one of my favorite couples in the M/M genre and the writing by Charlie Adhara just pulls you in and makes you a part of this interesting dynamic and longing for more. I thought that once a HEA (sorta) presented that the story would probably dwindle down but there is still so much that I want to know and I hope that Charlie Adhara continues this awe-inspiring series. And I have to also give it up to the narration skills of Erik Bloomquist for making this such a delicious series. Hopefully there is more to come and I will be waiting for it to be presented. LOVE this!

Brilliant and lively!

This book was fantastic, I’m always thrilled to see what these boys do next. It was a thrilling mystery and such a strange turn of events!

My only missing star is because of the voice talent, it’s not the worst, but I can get confused sometimes when there’s a lot of people since Erik Bloomquist doesn’t have much of a range.

This book and the rest of this series are a masterpiece though and I truly hope this isn’t the end for Oliver and Cooper because their story kept me spellbound! Charlie Adhara is truly a marvel and I can’t wait to see what she does next!

Mystery and Marriage, what more could you want?

The relationship between Cooper and Park just keeps getting better and better. Park being a werewolf doesn't really believe in marriage yet goes through with it anyways. That is just one example of the compromises these two men make for each other in order to ensure the others happiness. They are truly couple goals and are among the top book couples ever. Storywise this book is great also. it really keeps you guessing through the entire thing. And it brings Eli more into the mix which sets up his books perfectly.

So sad it's over! I love this series!

This series is an instant re listen for me. I absolutely love Cooper and Oliver. I'm only sad that this is the last one. I know she's doing a spin off about Eli but I really hope she opens Cooper and Oliver's story back up and does a sequel series because this was too good to end!

Loved it need another book with these two.

Cooper in his awkward human way may be the only one that could find such a loving balance between such opposing worlds. Park to find what he needed to settle his soul in such a
prickly porcupine as Cooper and outside the norm for him was amazing. This was a great read for the end of an amazing series. Though another book with them would be very much
welcome . Maybe the passing through their new retreat while on their way to the vacation they talked about.Anyway , if you were thinking about getting this book? You should, you will
not be disappointed.

good book

This is a good continuance of the series I am curious and were its going with the moon. My issue is that there is somthing off with the audio so it's a lot softer in places than audio books usually are, though the narrorator is good.
