Publisher's Summary

Bread is supposed to be the staff of life - not a murder weapon.

Every baker has their weak spot. For Poppy, it’s bread. So, when The Great British Baking Contest hits bread week, she’s as fragile as an overbaked croissant. Just when she needs to keep all her focus on flour, water, yeast, and salt, another ingredient enters the mix. Death.

Someone is not who they appear to be, and secrets from the past are bringing deadly consequences to the present. Poppy isn’t only a contestant in the long-running TV show, she’s also a witch and reluctant amateur sleuth. With the rest of her coven, assorted animal helpers, and her ghostly sidekick Gerry, Poppy needs to solve the murder before someone else dies.

Set in the beautiful Somerset countryside, the Great Witches Baking Contest stories are all linked, but they can be listened to as stand-alone cozy mysteries. There is no swearing, gore, or sex. Just an entertaining cozy mystery with witches, ghosts, a little romance - and recipes!

From the USA Today best-selling author of The Vampire Knitting Club.

Squeee!!! Great book and exciting happenings!

I'm having a hard time writing this review as I don't want to give away any spoilers for those reading this series, but it's definitely the best book in the series so far and I am soooooo excited as it appears the author is working on a way to have the series continue past the competition in the book. The narrator does such a superior job of making you feel like the characters are living breathing people and that you are right there with them. I absolutely can not wait to listen to the next book in the series!!! I absolutely love Poppy, the main character, and can not wait to see what happens next for her!!!!! (I think I have exceeded my yearly quota of exclamation points, but seriously if you like a good paranormal cozy mystery then you need to start listening to the series just so you can get to this book!)

CHANGES ARE AFOOT

AS ALWAYS, I TRULY ENJOYED THIS 6TH BOOK IN THE SERIES. WHETHER BECAUSE I WAS DISTRACTED BY SO MUCH GOING ON IN POPPY'S LIFE OR JUST A PARTICULARLY WELL DISGUISED VILLAIN, THE MURDERER SURPRISED ME. REGARDLESS, I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE ADVENTURES WITH POPPY AND THE GANG.
