great book

this story is great. You get all range of emotions from it. I had to keep listening to it. i will be listening to more of this series. She learned and listened and acheived but things happen

Great start

This was a good start to the series. This was different than other academy books I read or listened to. Can’t wait to see what comes next.

Interesting listen, but...

This is an interesting read. I really liked the concept of a paranormal ruling class with underlings and an academy training them for their future. Also, the FMC's sexual tension going on with one of the guards was interesting, but definitely a slow burn (if anything will come of it). What brought it down to three stars was it had some plot holes. I had to double-check that I was reading book one in the series because it almost read like it picked up in the middle of a story. Maybe this is part of a larger world? If so, it would have been nice to know that in the blurb so I could mentally prepare for that and not feel like I was missing something.

As for the narrator, she wasn't my favorite. The quality is fine and she's easy to understand, but her voice just isn't that pleasant to listen to. It probably also impacted my enjoyment of the story. 3-stars for narration

Interesting book

While the story was extremely interesting and I will be interested in reading more, the narrator's voice is at an pitch that bothers me. While she did a wonderful job with the story I had a hard time staying in the story as I had to take many breaks because of the pitch.

Certainly a different look at the fae

This was a world where the fae aren't the best. It was a crazy fun adventure and I hope that audio unleashed gets more books like this one.

never let anyone tell you will be

I was drawn it to this book from the start till the end. the main charterers Onyx and Thorsten hit it off the first day they meet. Onyx will look out for her friends and will do anything to take down a bully. The forbidden love is heartbreaking I can't wait to see them in a different setting. I can't wait to see how the next book and the story ends

Just plain awesome

this series just rocks i really love listening to it alot Margo and Holly are amazing writers

Good

While this story didn't hit my favorites list, I'm definitely interested by it. Very interesting storyline and good writing. Only thing I would "improve" (this is my opinion and by no means means the authors "must" change anything) the narrator is using an almost childlike voice rather than something more adult sounding for the "adult" theam.
