*Narration: Both narrators were excellent. The male narrator especially was well controlled & always had the right level of emotion & range. The female narrator did a great job with Lyla’s anger & inner monologue. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Vance & Lyla were absolutely perfect. I loved how their relationship progressed. It was organic & raw & they deserved all the good they found in each other. The third act breakup was done so well. It felt needed & made the HEA so sweet. The romantic suspense had me completely captivated in the story. I couldn’t stop listening & devoured it all in a day.

📖 I am a huge fan of this latest Eden installment! This has the romantic suspense of Indigo Ridge, the spice that Devney has started bringing out later in the series (like in Jasper Vale), and everything we would have wanted from a lovely Eden sister. Lyla had a bit of a rough go as her sister found love with someone she had a massive crush on — Lyla being the absolute doll she is wasn’t upset or resentful but just embarrassed. She threw herself into work at her cute little coffee/bakery shop and before she knew it her sisters were staging an intervention. While on a hike to get out of the office and enjoy herself she’s almost murdered, but the stranger let’s her go. The next thing she knows, another stranger rolls into town hot on the trail of her attacker. She decides to face her fear and help the newcomer, Vance, track down his suspect. A few hikes, some searching, and Lyla and Vance find that they have some smoking hot chemistry — WOW, Devney really killed the spice in this one!!

Lyla was a sweetie, Vance was a dreamy law enforcement officer trying to redeem himself from the past, and their romance tied in with the suspense was such a perfect combo!

🎧 Lucy Rivers and Connor Crais absolutely crushed this narration! Lucy is in my top 3 fav female narrators and just absolutely dominates this Eden series! She does a great job voicing Lyla and making it clear who is talking when Lyla is chatting with her sisters — she is able to change up her tone enough that you never get confused. And she does a really nice manly voice! Connor is really moving up my favs list, he nailed Vance in this one. His voice sounded fantastic in this narration — it’s always clear but sounds so natural and easy, deep and smooth.

Big Fan of Lyla and Vance

Oh my gosh, I love love loved Lyla and Vance together. The way their relationship grew was real and natural. It was cozy, but passionate and had soooo much fire. Every time Vance spoke, I turned into a pile of mush.

This story had me not able to put it down because of all the twists and turns! This whole plot and storyline were sheer perfection. The speed, the side characters, the back stories and of course, Devney brought it with the spice 🤭

SHEER. PERFECTION. Hands down, THE BEST Eden book to date.

Another amazing Eden story

What do you get when you have Devney Perry’s writing talent, small town montana, the Eden family and a sprinkle of mystery? An amazing addition to the Eden series! I loved being back here and being with all my fav characters. I don’t want to give anything away but all I have to say is you need to read this!

I was so looking forward to Lyla‘s book, because I love her and she definitely deserves the best. Lyla seems a little lost, and I think we can all understand this on a personal level. She’s a great example of obtaining dreams that you have, and then not knowing where to go from there. She just seemed so realistic. Vance is definitely a broken man. He is an absolute mess, and I loved getting to see his layers and see him fall for Lyla in this book. It felt like both characters were kind of shut down or numb at the beginning, so it was just wonderful to see them shed that with each other. The storyline was interesting, and there’s a little twist that I definitely had a feeling about, but may catch readers off guard. I think the characters really made this book. I’m pretty excited about Matteo’s book after that ending. If he doesn’t end up with the person I’m thinking of, then I hope that there’s some spinoff books from this series!

Just a fling...

Crimson River was perfect...that's really what it comes down to. Lyla Eden has seen all of her siblings fall in love...and she's happy for them, she is... but she feels stuck in her life...it's become monotonous. But the one day she allows her routine to change... everything changes.

Vance has been hunting down a man for four years...and he has chased leads all over, but constantly comes up empty handed. But when an APB comes through from Quincy, Montana it feels different.

What Vance wasn't counting on in Quincy was Lyla Eden...the beautiful woman who works at Eden Coffee, who also just seems to be the first real lead he has had.

My gosh Devney absolutely blew me away with this story. Lyla and Vance have so much to work on individually but the way she brings them together...magic. and the plot twists.....I am never right, but I think that's part of the experience for me!

I listened to the audio performed in dual narration by Lucy Rivers and Connor Crais, I can't imagine better casting for these characters. They conveyed the story in such a wonderful way, even with the darkness clinging throughout the entire story.

I need to visit Montana

I need to plan a vacation to Montana. I enjoyed this romantic suspense story with Lyla and Vance, a cop from Idaho. Some parts were slow, other bits were a little unsettling... but overall, it's fiction and a fun time to escape our current reality.

This was a reread for me, but a first time doing audio. I really enjoyed it. Excited to start Sable Peak.

I probably should have read this instead of listening to it because the female narrator was horrible. Every time she tried to do a voice, I cringed.... every time!!! Some parts of this book was so good, but the amount of "s 3 x" was beyond ridiculous and kept taking me out of the story. I already skipped one of the books in this series, and I don't think I will be moving on. The plot 4 stars, the male narrator 4.5, the female narrator 1, the amount of s 3 x scenes 1. I have got to find a decent series to listen to!

This series is great and now I have to wait Till December for the next book. I can hardly wait.

Love it!

I love this series so much, it got me hooked on Devney Perry books and I’ve been making my way through her backlist. I’m gutted we only have 1 book left in this series, but as the saying goes I’m hoping we are saving the best till last. Not like I haven’t loved the whole series. But Mateo 😍
I love the romantic suspense element we have in these books. It just adds that little bit of danger without it being too much and taking away from the story. This book had me hooked and I had to keep turning the pages to find out what would happen. Layla and Vance are perfect together and they had this unstoppable chemistry. I loved seeing the rest of the Eden gang again. This series is so heartwarming.
