Many decades ago, Osho addressed the unfolding environmental catastrophe. Today the bad stewardship of planet Earth by humanity is obvious. Osho analyses this catastrophe with an additional level of understanding, pointing to organized religions as major contributors to our predatory and careless handling of the environment. Priests & Politicians–hand in hand destroying the planet.

In the modern era the world has seen a minimum 50 percent decrease in insects since the 80's when this speech was given. In places like Germany the traps they set to catch bugs have 75 percent less than in the 80's. Osho makes his feelings known in this talk about religion and how it puts man at the top: biblical concepts like be fruitful and multiply and hold dominion over the earth are brought up as part of the reason the earth is being ruined. He mentions that India had lions and the lion used to be something that represented India but when Britain showed up they killed most of the lions. The argument is made that we are destroying the earth because we think it is only here for our pleasure, that mankind is all that matters and the earth and everything in it is only here for our pleasure. These concepts are incredibly destructive.

Destructive biblical concepts like hold dominion over the earth are shown as corrupt.
