After four months of unemployment, former book editor Clara Montgomery is still stuck sleeping on her little brother's ugly couch in Queens. When the paparazzi capture a photo of them together, Caspian's PR team sees an opportunity to promote his latest film - and if Clara wants to atone for her "crimes", she'll have to play along. Pretending to be Caspian's girlfriend seems like it will be a tolerable, if somewhat daunting, penance...until their fake romance becomes something more than either of them expected.

Great story, but

It’s a great story but because it goes on and on with the blackmail, it gets you so mad that she didn’t stick up for herself. It makes you just want to shake the heroine.

It was like reading a Hallmark movie!

If you want to curl up with an incredibly sweet story with amazing character development and relationships this is your book. I really enjoyed it

Good clean fun! I want to see more of her books! What is next?! Laugh out loud fun, with great supporting characters, from special mom to possible mob connections, and great best friend!

Well what can I say this book at me screaming at the characters as if I was right there with them lol. What can I say I enjoyed it and I think you would too. Laugh, cry and cuss all through the book.

Not Political!

Since I wanted an easy listen, I passed on this book originally because of the top review about all of the "politics" in the book. I'm so glad I came back to it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. There is nothing political about this book! That review had to be for another book. There are a few mentions of a politician, but the book is definitely not centered around it. Unless you're extremely sensitive and triggered by any mention of politics, the book is a cute contemporary romance. Worth a listen in my opinion and I loved the wink to a well known actor.

I'm glad I listened to this. Almost didn't because someone said it was very political or something. It definitely isn't.

I found this to be a silly, entertaining and fun listen. Great for getting away from reality.

I really enjoyed this book, BUT QUICK QUESTION: Did this start out as a well-written fanfic about Benedict Cumberbatch? (I say that with absolutely no disrespect!) The entire time I was thinking Benedict Cumberbatch bc of the name and attractive alien/ lizard description, but visualizing Tom Hiddleston bc well personal preference 😁, but again REALLY enjoyed it. Stacey did an AMAZING job narrating.

Great Book to Listen to

Kept me wanting to continue, the narrator did a great job with all the stories characters and their emotions.

Half way of the book I almost not finish because of the male main character is so assholer and disgusting. But then she becomes smarter. Although the end not what I thought will be. But not bad.
