Publisher's Summary

After four months of unemployment, former book editor Clara Montgomery is still stuck sleeping on her little brother's ugly couch in Queens. Determined to keep her minuscule savings account intact, she takes a job clearing out abandoned storage units, but is in no way prepared for stumbling upon dead snakes or trying to identify exactly where the perpetual stench of beets is emanating from.

When Clara comes across a unit that was once owned by an escort service, she finds the brothel "resume" of a younger Caspian Tiddleswich...an astonishingly famous British actor. Her best friend thinks she should sell the gossip to a tabloid to fund her way off the couch from hell, but Clara instead manages to track down Caspian's contact info, intending to reassure him that her lips are sealed.

Unfortunately, Caspian misinterprets Clara's attempt at altruism and shows up on her doorstep, accusing her of blackmail. When the paparazzi capture a photo of them together, Caspian's PR team sees an opportunity to promote his latest film - and if Clara wants to atone for her "crimes", she'll have to play along. Pretending to be Caspian's girlfriend seems like it will be a tolerable, if somewhat daunting, penance...until their fake romance becomes something more than either of them expected.

Sweet and so funny

Lots of real laughs, and a great performance by the narrator. I also found myself truly liking the characters - they have great senses of humor and really good hearts.

Cute Story, AMAZING Performance

First of all let me just say it .. CiCi IS THE BEST FRIEND EVERRRRRR !!!! now to the review, I overly enjoyed my time reading Crashing the A-list, it's a classic tale of famous guy and a girl who has to pretend that she is his girlfriend, I liked Clara so much she is real and her reactions are amazing, however, Caspian was a pain for me to swallow, he was a jerk for 60% of the story, and when he wasn't he was nice to other people not Clara herself .. but the ending was nice I guess so yeah The narrator was the second best part of the book ( the first is CiCi of course ) she was amazing and really gave the book a really good vibe, I want to hear her more she is amazing

Disappointing.... I’d say 3 Stars at best

This had so much promise! It was a cute idea but I had an issue with a lot of the logic (or lack there of) with the characters. She is 30, has a masters, but swears like a sailor and doesn’t really think things through... There was an obnoxious use of Fbombs and since they are editors, I figured they would have a larger vocabulary and could find another substitute, but no... so many f-bombs. The romance was kind of flat as well. Not that I’m looking for descriptive sex or anything but this didn’t even have a good make out scene. We were told more than shown and the ending was anticlimactic. I’m pretty disappointed.

Loving this book

I"m not quite finished, have about an hour left, but I kind of don't want it to end. This book has had its' hooks in me the entire time! Narrator Stacey Glemboski has done a masterful job with angst, hilarity, excitement, and the drudgery of storage units. I don't know what captured my attention to download this book, but whatever it was I hope I have more of it. This will sound so crazy, but there is a sensitivity in the writing and a grasp of consequences that is rare. Impressive, Summer Heacock! Write more so I can spend another 12+ hours enjoying a story and characters I want to have as friends.
