Great new series from JR Ward!

This was a great story. The characters have great development. I love how it ties in to Caldwell, New York and the black dagger brotherhood. Very excited to get to the next book.

Great Narration!

I love this author and the stories/worlds she creates. This series is connected to the Black Dagger Brotherhood books and that is the reason I picked this one up. LOVED the Easter eggs! I’m such a sucker for stuff like that! I went in completely blind, not knowing what to expect (other than that it was a recommended reading order). It wasn’t a bad book by any means BUT it did not pull me in as quickly as the BDB series overall. The concept is great - angels versus demons. I did enjoy the twists at the end and the spice/romance sprinkled in. The audiobook was a solo narration and the narrator did a decent job bringing the story to life!

Wanted to enjoy this series as much as BDB

I absolutely enjoyed the BDB series. the characters were so well developed. I became so invested that I had to have every book. With that in mind, I purchased several in this series believing that this author has a formula that can't fail. I feel I'm wrong and am sorry I purchased so many in the series without checking this series out first. The BDB hooked me immediately. By chapter 20, I'm so annoyed by the story, the characters and the narrator. If one of these were good, I believe i would hang in but I just can't. It's too frustrating.
