Narration was terrible, content was alright

It was hard to get used to the narration, it was constantly chipper but not in a genuine way or at appropriate times. The content was alright, I wish it shared more about the background of CR. The content had some breadth but not much depth or details.

Good info, narrators voice annoying

Couldn’t get through all the chapters. Made it halfway and couldn’t take the annoying narrators voice any longer. Would have enjoyed hearing from someone who has been to Costa Rica and could share. This narrator had no connection to the place or guide. Nothing surprising in the content that you can’t get elsewhere.

Good content, disconnected narration

Lots of good information about Costa Rica in a very abbreviated format but the narration is so relentlessly chipper and upbeat without any connection to the actual information at hand since the narrator doesn’t really seem to know the content personally it leaves one with a disappointing experience

Nightmare Narration

If consulting locals is so seemingly important to the authors based on their long "why this guide is so great" introduction, why is a creepily chipper white woman breathily reading about colonialization in a weirdly upbeat voice. Made it not even a half hour before giving up and returning. so weird. should have read the reviews first which several of them said the same thing.
